During your yoga teacher training here you may choose from single or double occupancy rooms. All rooms come with sea views and elegant decor, to provide you with inspiration and overall relaxing experience.
This course is a preparatory training program for individuals, yoga enthusiasts, and yoga practitioners who wish to gain an introduction to the yoga philosophy and an in-depth look at asanas including correct alignment, benefits and contraindications.
This is an intensive 100-hour yoga instructor training where you will learn a lot, challenge your self-limited beliefs and deepen your asana practice and yoga philosophy knowledge. You will learn from our highly skilled teachers and be inspired by the powerful energy of the island. In this course, you will get an introduction into the yoga philosophy, learn the asanas with an emphasis on alignment and anatomy and explore the yoga lifestyle in depth.
There will be 11 days with instruction in total. There are no classes on arrival and departure days.
This course is a Yoga Alliance International (YAI) approved training. Upon successful completion of this 100 hours training, you will receive a certificate from Aegialis School of Yoga and you will also be eligible to receive a certificate from YAI, which is an "Instructor Certificate". Please keep in mind that with this "Instructor Certificate", you are not yet a registered, yoga teachers. To be fully registered as a yoga teacher, you must take the complete 200 hours YTT. In other words, this certification is not a qualification to teach yoga. This comes with the next 200 hours of yoga teacher training.
Miriam Indries is a certified 500-hour Master Yoga Teacher, E-CYT 200 & 500 teacher with Yoga Alliance International. She spent time in India studying yoga philosophy and advanced asana practice with a top yoga master in Kerala. She is a published author, yoga and meditation teacher, and qualified Ayurveda practitioner. Additionally, she has academic qualifications in Psychology (B.A) and an NLP practitioner certification (neuro-linguistic programming), focusing on behaviour, effective goal setting, and strategies for self-development.
In 2012, she completed her 200-hour.Ashtanga Teacher Training with Caroline Klebl. Since 2014, she has been the Manager of Lalon Idor Spa. Married to Stavros Loulourgas and a mother of two wonderful children. In 2020, she had her Teacher Training for Aerial Kids Yoga and in the same year, Kalliovi completed another 200-hour Hatha Yoga Teacher Training with Miriam Indries at Aegialis School of Yoga. Grateful for life, she is a giving person, ready to spread positive energy and love.
Eleni is a certified yoga teacher, member of the Aegialis School of Yoga, which is in alliance with Yoga Alliance International, sharing all the knowledge in many fields, such as Anatomy, Pranayama, Meditation, Vinyasa, Aerial yoga, life coaching, and NLP, hypnosis and timeline therapy certified by Life Spheres with Eleni Sarantinou. Those who know Eleni, agree that she has a very outgoing personality, loves to interact with others. Apart from Greek, she speaks English, Spanish, Italian, German, and Greek sign language.
This yoga introductory instructor training is held in Aegiali, Amorgos Island, Greece.
Enjoy delicious fresh food at award-winning Ambrosia Gallery Restaurant. You will be served an abundant breakfast buffet daily, as well as a tasty lunch and dinner. They use fresh food and locally grown vegetables and a variety of spices grown on the island. The meals are all vegetarian and vegan. Please let the school know at the time of your booking if you have any specific dietary requirements.
Amorgos island offers many opportunities to enjoy its natural beauty. There are over a dozen walking trails, with the most amazing views. Discover the authenticity of the island from the local villages. Visit Amorgian traditional houses, meet the locals and learn about the island’s unique customs.
By far one of the most unique experiences on the island is a visit to the Monastery of Hozoviotissa (which is included in the excursions). Located near the famous Agia Anna beach, this important Greek monument has great historical significance to the country as it is the second ever built church in Greece. Built 300m above sea level, the upward journey to the actual landmark, provides a peaceful walk with breathtaking views of the Big Blue.
Amorgos has plenty of beautiful beaches, some of the most popular being Agia Anna, Agios Pavlos, Mouros and Aegiali. Whether you prefer sand or pebbles, everything is possible in Amorgos. You can swim in the crystal-clear water, or enjoy the beach life, relaxing on the sun loungers and under the beach umbrellas, which some of the beaches provide.
You will receive a complimentary full body massage from the highly skilled therapists at Lalon Idor Spa. Other body and beauty treatments are available from the spa menu at an additional cost.

Athens International Airport (Eleftherios Venizelos Airport)

Please book your flight to arrive at Athens International Airport (ATH). Amorgos does not have an airport but is easily reached with daily ferries and high-speed vessels. Athens International Airport (ATH) is the most convenient to arrive. Transfer from and to the airport using a private transfer service from the hotel is available upon request.
To arrive by bus to the port of Piraeus, the Express bus X96 leaves every 20 minutes during the day and every 40 minutes at night from the Athens International Airport Arrivals Level (between Entrance 4 and 5) to 'Karaiskaki Square' in Piraeus, right outside the ferry port. The ticket costs 5 EUR. The trip takes from about 1 hour and 15 minutes to 1 hour and a half.
To arrive by train/metro to the port of Piraeus, the subway will take you from the airport to Monastiraki station. There you will change to line 1 (green line). The end of line 1 is Piraeus station, just outside the entrance to the ferry port. The journey time from Athens International Airport to the port of Piraeus is about one hour. Trains are every half hour, with the first service departing the airport at 05:30 and the last service at 23:30.
Arriving by taxi to the port of Piraeus is the most hassle-free way. The drive from the airport to the port takes 45 to 60 minutes.
