Akasha Retreat Center, Meerstraat 2 in 3870 Heks (Heers), Belgium

Intensive Yoga Teacher Training Belgium

Have you experienced the sweet flavor and deep transformation that comes from practicing yoga? Do you wish to take it to the next level by starting to teach yoga? This teacher training is an opportunity for sincere yoga practitioners to deepen their practice and to learn all the necessary tools to start teaching themselves and to pass on the ancient science and art of yoga. Hatha yoga will be thought in its holistic form with an understanding of the main yogic branches. The aim of Hatha yoga is to align the body, mind, and spirit, to free yourselves from blockages and ultimately to open up for self-realization. At the end of the training, you will all be able to give a full integral Hatha yoga class and have the necessary philosophical background and understanding of the mechanisms of yoga. An in-depth knowledge of the yoga Sutras of Patanjali will be thought to understand the original meaning of yoga and to guide you into spiritual oriented life and practice!

Program

Our yoga program is meant to deeply transform the energies of the body, awaken the wisdom of the heart and spirit and enable you to teach yoga in an authentic, holistic and traditional way. It gradually leads us from the gross to the subtle, refining the energies and our perception while learning practical and hands-on methods of asana alignment, sequencing and much more.

To teach yoga in an authentic way, we have to embody, integrate and live yoga on all levels to the best of our capacity, with compassion to ourselves and others. Teaching yoga may trigger a big shift in one's level of awareness, lifestyle and the way we perceive ourselves and the world. This program guides you step by step through this process.

In integral Hatha yoga, we integrate all the branches of yoga. Whereas, in most modern hatha yoga styles, the focus is only on postures.

Together with an in depth focus on mastering the asanas and understanding the benefits and counter-indications, we integrate as well chanting, pranayama, mudras, bandhas, and meditation in a hatha yoga session.

Anatomy:

As a medical doctor, fascia therapist and yoga teacher, Rianne will share with you her passion and in-depth knowledge on the systems of the body involved in yoga, the functioning of the muscles, joints and bones, prevention of injuries, fascia lines and much more. The focus is both on theory and, most importantly, on how to practically adapt this knowledge in order to ensure a safe, transformative and restoritive practice.

Location

The teacher training will be held in Akasha Retreat Center. We are located in Heks, a small village in the East of Belgium. The building where you will be living and practicing has a very special and sacred energy. It was built in 1830 and served as a school and monastery for nuns. The echoes of this history can still be heard in stillness.

It is surrounded by fields, trees, nature and a beautiful castle. You will be sharing the house with all the students and teachers. We see community living as an essential part of the training. By living together, we can inspire each other, as well as face all the triggers that may arise from a loving space of the heart.

Food

The food will be prepared and cooked with great care and love and made with organic ingredients. We will be serving healthy, delicious, nutritious and well-balanced vegetarian and mainly vegan food.
