Aranya Yoga Ashram, one of the oldest yoga schools in Palolem, Goa, is offering this 200 hours dynamic Hatha and Ashtanga yoga teacher training. This intensive, yet spiritual course will take you to the next level of practicing yoga. Your accommodation is near the Palolem beach, Goa, India. The rooms are equipped with beds, mosquito nets, chairs, tables and come with an attached washroom, a porch, and enough of storage space.
Aranya Yoga was founded by Krishna Das Baba. Krishna was born and raised in a peaceful mountainous setting in the Western Himalayas of North India, where he was introduced to yoga at an early age. For the last 10 years, Krisha Das Baba has been directing yoga classes, 200-hour teacher training courses, and various workshops on meditation, healing, and Ayurvedic cooking in Gokarna, Palolem, and Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh. He started his practice at age 15, under the guidance of his Guru Ji Sri Sitaram Das Baba Ji from the lineage of the Ramananda Sampradaya.
From a young age, Varun has been into physical fitness. He first came to yoga for benefits in fitness and flexibility. As his practice became stronger he got healthier and soon discovered that his yoga mat was the place to find a sense of contentment, self-awareness and a body and mind connection. He deeply fell in love with yoga and trained as a yoga teacher. His aim is to help people globally to achieve their own healing physically, mentally, and emotionally by teaching them the art of yoga.
Gladys was born in the Dominican Republic. After graduating with a Bachelors degree in Architecture, she started travelling around the world. While traveling, she acquired several skills such as speaking German, French, and English. She assisted several hostels and cafes as a volunteer and event managing assistant. She completed her yoga teacher training yttc 200-hour in Mandrem, Goa recently and decided to be a volunteer for aranya yoga school to deepen her understanding and practice. She has a very sweet and charming personality.
Amit Kumar is from the Indian state of Haryana. He graduated from the renowned SVYASA University in Bangalore as a Master in Yoga Therapy (Msc) and completed his Yoga Instructor Course with the highest accreditation. He specialized in Power Yoga, Yoga therapy, Meditation, Bandhas, and Pranayamas during his training. Yoga is his life’s calling. During his high school time he discovered, that yoga would be more than just a hobby when participating in summer yoga camps. Soon after completing his studies, he dedicated himself to the intense training at the yoga university.
This teacher training program will take place in the magical Patnem Beach, South Goa. Unlike other parts of Goa, Patnem Beach has retained its peacefulness and natural charm despite growing numbers of tourists to the area.
The closest airport is Dabolim Airport (GOI) and the journey to the airport is just over an hour. Patnem beach itself is lined with bars, restaurants, and beach hut accommodations. The hospitality of the Patnem locals awaits you. Choose from the many dining options that offer international cuisine from all corners of the globe, as well as traditional Goan curries, seafood specialties, and the popular vegan delights.
It is ideal for those who enjoy the harmony between beach life, yoga, and relaxed dinners with friends. It is definitely a tradition to watch the phenomenal sunsets on the beach during your yoga teacher training, yogis regularly walk and run this beach and participate in light-hearted acro-yoga during the downing of the sun.
If you are looking for some evening entertainment, you are not far away from the tourist hub of Palolem. Here you will find more night-time activities, sometimes a welcome alternative to the quietness and early nights of Patnem.
Palolem is only five minutes away from the shala and can be reached by rickshaw. Alternatively, five minutes in the other direction, you will find the fabulous local location of Chaudi. Here you will find a more traditional Indian experience with local fresh food and seafood markets, chai stands, supermarket, pharmacy, and such.

Please book your flight to arrive at Goa International Airport (GOI). Transfers from and to the airport can be arranged upon request to Aranya Yoga Ashram They use experienced local drivers for all of their pickups, they are patient in case of delays and know exactly where to drop you off (particularly helpful for overnight arrivals). Alternatively, there are set price taxis available at the counter on arrival in Goa Airport (GOI).
There are plenty of options for arrival by bus in case you want to save money or want to experience local Goan transport. You can catch a bus from KTC bus station in Margao directly to Patnem Beach. It is also possible to reach Goa by Volvo, deluxe or semi-deluxe buses from Mumbai, Pune, and Bangalore.
If you would like to arrive by train you can reach Goa by train from Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kochin, Mysore, and Pune. The closest stop is Canacona which is located in Chaudi.
