50 hours of Rocket training for practitioners and instructors looking to develop and explore their skills of practice and teaching the world famous Rocket Routines. You will be looking at different keys to unlock your hidden potential. This training will surely get you there faster! The routines are intelligently structured to open the body in a natural way and work through the joints systematically. While the series take on a new form, they retain the same core principles of Ashtanga- breath, Bandhas and Drishti. Inside of the Rocket routines, you will find a template, a core sequence,that always exists.
Located right on the beach only a couple of hundred meters from the Yoga Rancho, it has large rooms with lots of light. It accommodates three to four students in each room with an en-suite bathroom. Beds are of "dorm" quality. Large beautiful recreational area and best surf spot on the beach.
Located on the north side of the beach. It will take you 15-20 minutes to walk to the Yoga Rancho. The hostel is a family owned place with simple but clean and nice rooms, all with ocean view and beds of better quality. On Mantaraya you can rent kayaks and the owner organizes boat tours and hikes for those who are interested. Small double room with their own shower. This is the choice for those students who want single room.
Balancing on your hands has many invigorating benefits. Some of the arm balancing and inversion techniques taught include: crazy eight posture, crow posture, elbow stand, handstands (multiple variations), headstand, one legged crow, peacock posture, scorpion, side crow, and tripod headstand.
Flying is the ability to move fluidly through your practice in sections that require balancing on your hands while your feet are off the ground. Areas covered include: arm balances and inversions from seated positions, creating fluid movement throughout you practice, floating back and forth in the sun salutations, floating with control vs. ballistics, inversions and handstands from standing postures, jump backs from seated postures, and weight transfer into the hands.
Flying is made possible by combining multiple aspects of yoga that when put together allow you to move and maintain a sense of levitation or flight in your practice. Principals you will learn include: 140 ashtanga postures in the rocket system sequenced by days of the week, abdominal strength and control, full body strengthening including hand, wrist, shoulder, and back development, stacking methods for inversions, Drishti (the integration of eye focus into your practice), adjustments, breathing, forward and backward bends, practice drills scripting techniques, and the first chapter of the Sutras of Patanjali
A principle of this practice, and the practice of Ashtanga, is that repetition brings success; this is not an aphorism, it is the truth. When you commit to this practice, you will come to know the sequences. Over time, you become able to guide yourself through the practice rather than having a dependency upon a teacher. Rather than an exercise routine that values spontaneity, yoga can become an inward journey when youre not waiting to find out from someone else whats next.
Hot yoga is also extremely popular, but your trainers at Its Yoga Nica know that you can learn to stoke your own internal fire with your breath. They like to create sweat organically, and can teach you how to build the heat from the inside out. Though the Rocket has a reputation for being challenging, it is accessible to everyone. Showing up to the mat with a spirit of humility, a willingness to look within and work through whatever comes up is going to positively transform every aspect of your life.
Traditionally in Ashtanga, you progress in a linear fashion, receiving poses as your teacher allows them. The Rocket takes away the hierarchy of this system and empowers practitioners of all levels with access to postures found in the more advanced Ashtanga series. The Rocket I reorders the traditional primary series of Ashtanga, The Rocket II follows the second series of the Ashtanga and Rocket III brings the I and II together for an invigorating 90 poses in 90 minutes
