Welcome to this transformative 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training program, where you will embark on a profound journey of self-discovery, immersing yourself in the sacred practices and holistic principles of yoga and Ayurveda. Throughout this immersive training, you will not only deepen your personal practice but also gain the knowledge and confidence to guide others on their own yogic path.
Ayurveda Health Retreat is located in the small historic town of Alachua, in north-central Florida. Enjoy browsing in the retail shop, have a cup of tea on the front porch, or stroll the quaint streets of historic Alachua.
Each of the private and comfortable rooms has a queen bed.
Students who complete the training are eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as Registered Yoga Teachers (RYT®).
The comprehensive curriculum is curated to provide you with a well-rounded understanding of the ancient wisdom of yoga and Ayurveda. From asana and pranayama to meditation and Ayurvedic lifestyle principles, every aspect of this training is designed to cultivate your physical, mental, and spiritual growth.
Under the guidance of our experienced instructors, you will explore yoga philosophy, anatomy, and alignment, as well as the profound connection between mind, body, and spirit. Through interactive discussions, engaging lectures, and hands-on workshops, you will not only gain theoretical knowledge but also cultivate practical skills to lead safe, inspiring, and transformative yoga classes.
But this training is not just about acquiring knowledge; it is about personal transformation. Through daily yoga sadhana, including asana, pranayama, and meditation, you will delve deeper into your own inner landscape, unveiling layers of self-limiting beliefs and accessing your full potential. Embracing Ayurvedic principles, you will learn to balance and harmonize your body and mind, creating a solid foundation for self-care and well-being.
As you progress through this 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training, you will also have the opportunity to observe and assist experienced teachers, honing your teaching skills and gaining valuable insights into the art of sequencing, adjusting, and creating a nurturing and inclusive space for your future students.
Upon completion of this program, you will be equipped with a solid foundation to embark upon a fulfilling yogic career. Whether you aspire to teach yoga classes or simply wish to deepen your practice, this 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training will empower you to share these timeless teachings with authenticity, wisdom, and compassion.
The general schedule is Monday through Friday 7 am to 5 pm.
Saturday is from 8:45 am to 5 pm. Sundays are off. Below is a more specific sample schedule for a day:
Richard founded the Ayurveda Health Retreat in 2001 and is a dedicated yoga teacher and Ayurvedic educator. Since opening its doors, he has helped thousands of people seeking healthy living with knowledge from the Ayurveda. He began his yoga and Ayurveda studies at age 17 and traveled to India at 21 with his spiritual teacher, Swami Prabhupada. He studied Ayurveda with Dr. Vasant Lad at the Ayurvedic Institute in New Mexico and has traveled to India over 30 times. In 1994, he graduated from Clayton College with a degree as a Doctor of Naturopathy.
Syama Masla is a founder and lead teacher. She will teach you in this course.
Dhyana Masla is a founder and lead teacher. She will teach you in this course.
This program will take place in the city of Alachua which is in the Alachua County of Florida in the United States.
The Ayurveda Health Retreat is located in the small historic town of Alachua, in North Central Florida, United States. It is about a 20-minute drive from the Gainesville Regional Airport (GNV), two hours north of Orlando Executive Airport (ORL), and one and a half hours southwest of Jacksonville International Airport (JAX).
Ayurvedic lunch on all training days is included in the package.
An optional dinner package on all training days is also available for additional cost.
