Upon completion of this yoga teacher training, students will receive a certificate affiliated with International Yoga Alliance. Registration with Yoga Alliance provides a globally recognized credential.
The compact modules are a wonderful chance to experience, the real meaning of yoga. This is a unique and life-changing possibility - not only for those who want to teach yoga later but also for those who want to inquire their lives on a deeper level and are looking for transformational practices to put them on a higher level - be it in their yoga practice or in everyday life’s challenges.
To offer this amazing experience to as many as possible, be better has created the “Intensive Retreat”: in case you just want to dive deep into yoga or take a holiday with more than just asanas this is for you. You will not take an exam at the end and of course then not receive a certificate. Experience in many teacher trainings has shown this takes the stress from many people´s minds and lets them enjoy the ride at much more ease.
If you get caught on the way, you can still decide to take the exam at the end of the module and become a certified teacher. Of course, to do so, it will be mandatory to attend all classes. If you are sure it’s not for you, you can skip some courses and design the experience according to your interests. be better has put an emphasis on giving you as much flexibility as possible. This is why you can start with either module A or B since they are both individual courses.
In addition, a modular teacher training as immersion gives you the chance to really get into the flow and benefits of a regular, intensive practice- something you will not achieve on weekend courses, for example, where you dip in and out of your everyday life. Thus, retreating from home for one or two weeks and following an intense, everyday Sadhana of several hours, guarantees a change on many levels.
be better is amazed by the wonderful reactions of their students at the end of every single module! The chance to bring along your spouse, best friend or parent to accompany you for a week during a part of your training is being taken often, too. They have even had husbands deciding to do the training on the spot after intentionally coming along to “just be a guest.”
Although there is a full curriculum during the immersion, they know that a beautiful surrounding nourishes the soul and thus supports your yoga journey. This is why be better chose seminar hotels that come with more than just stunning scenery. be better is getting back to hotels that have given the groups and themselves amazing times - something they want to share with future groups - and YOU!

An important aspect you address as well as the “reading” of different body types and their challenges in different asanas
Vinyasa Krama: logical composition of asanas, also for certain special needs topics with individual coaching

This sequence will also be the contact with the non-contact hours in which they are to learn how to prepare a class with good contact and sequencing and how to teach it in a clear and structured manner.
The non-contact hours provide the chance as “self-study slots” to take notes of upcoming questions that can be addressed in open Q&A sessions regarding “Art of Teaching” sessions. Thus, trainees receive the chance to become secure in composing classes for certain topics. In the exam, be better puts an emphasis on a good composition of the shown sequence.

In the non-contact hours, the trainees have the chance to practice their teaching of pranayamas and give each other direct feedback. You will address their pranayama teaching in your coaching sessions as well. In the exam teaching of pranayama will be examined as well.
Kriyas: Cleansing techniques, their benefit on a physical and mental level. Theory and practice.
Through the practice and theoretical understanding of yogic cleansing techniques the trainees will experience the benefit of an “internal physical practice” and the advantage of a healthy body that results in a clear mind.
Meditation: Introduction to different methods in theory and practice.
Meditation: Is an important part of teacher training. Through the immersion character of our two-week-modules and the intensive, regular practice the trainees experience the transformative effect of meditation on the mind. be better encourages an ongoing personal practice between the two modules. In this “Art of Teaching” session, be better explains the sensory integration of meditation into different classes.
Chanting: Introduction in Kirtan singing and the teaching in front of classes
Chanting/Mantra: Chanting or the work with mantras takes place regularly during the modules. Thus, be better creates space for exploring the meaning of the spiritual aspect of yoga to the trainees’ own practice. It is important to be better to work without dogmas, but still, be better is paying deep respect to the origins of yoga and the meaning of spirituality and communicate it accordingly.
Through close cooperation with the teacher from India, who teaches this part of yoga modern and easily accessible for western people, they are building a bridge from the body through the mind to the soul - an important tool for aware teachers.
Asana: execution and analysis of body postures (Hatha yoga, Ashtanga yoga, Iyengar yoga)

Mix postures will be related to the categories of each asana focus. Through interaction during the sessions, be better enables the trainees a deep understanding of the benefits in their own bodies and gives hints to common mistakes that a teacher should be able to spot.
The standards detailed above ensure that all trainees of an RYS 200 receive training and instruction in five educational categories for at least 180 hours with 125 hours of those being contact hours. Any remaining required curriculum contact and non-contact hours (totaling 200 hours in all) are to be distributed among the five educational categories, but the hours may be allocated at the discretion of each RYS based on their training’s focus.
