After living most of her life as Melissa thought she should, studying, and working in the corporate world, spending money on things that brought her temporary fulfillment, she found yoga, or it found her; either way, she fell in love with the practice in such a way that she felt called to share it with others. She has been guiding classes, workshops, ceremonies, and retreats ever since and continues to be amazed by the healing and transforming powers of breath, movement, stillness, intention, and connection and is grateful every day for the opportunity to share these practices with others.
Rachael first encountered yoga when she was 15 years old and since then she has been in a state of enamored curiosity with the practice in all its forms. Her training in ballet and contemporary dance has given her a deep understanding of the human body, including the areas of anatomy, kinesiology, and functional movement, which she feels complements her yoga practice perfectly. She guides her classes from the perspectives of safety, alignment, and mobility, with a strong focus on expression and the healing modalities of movement.
