The 300 hours yoga teacher training course is designed in accordance with the guidelines of the ancient Vedic text and the science of Ayurveda “The science of Life”. Ayurveda is based on the timeless universal principles promoting health, natural beauty, and long life. After the successful completion of the Yoga Teacher Training Program, students are eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as Registered Yoga Teachers (RYT®).


This training is intended for students who have already completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training course. Therefore, proven certification of previous studies in yoga is a prerequisite for participation in the course. Guidance of ancient yoga teachings on a deeper level as well as a closer approach to yoga philosophy through meditation practice is offered at this level.

Breath of Life Yoga Center Crete-Greece is certified by the government of Greece. It is a world class training institute and a great place for those who are in search of health, happiness, peace, and harmony. The more successful a yoga teacher becomes, the more knowledge his or her students experience in the principles of yoga.

There are many books that analyze yoga positions and how to get into them properly, but the practice of yoga should preferably start with a qualified yoga teacher since it is not recommended to teach yourself.

In the West, the focus is mostly on the postures of the body (asana) and practitioners hope to tone their body to the required shape. In this yoga teacher training course, you will follow the traditional Hatha yoga and keep on focus to the following point: ‘’Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self’’ as it is written in the Bhagavad Gita.

The experienced and certified instructors during the Yoga Teacher Training Course provide support and provide whole-heartedly all the information, knowledge, and guidance to the participants so that they may explore their physical, mental, and emotional limits in a safe manner. The Yoga Teacher Training Course is an intense experience and through practice and theory, participants attain all the tools with confidence so that they may share this knowledge with others.


Prerequisites to enroll in the Yoga Teacher Training 300-hour Course is certified previous completion of a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training Course. An open flexible mind, commitment to learning, and motivation to become a yoga teacher is also essential. A high level of will-power and self-discipline is required during the course as it is physically, mentally, and spiritually demanding as well as highly rewarding. It is very important the participants to have physical and mental health.

Rules and regulations

  • Every student is requested to fulfill the registration formalities and submit the required information and course fee before the start of the course.
  • The deposit should be in Euros.
  • The participants should be in good physical and mental health.
  • They should have previous experience in yoga practice and a testimonial from his/her yoga teacher.
  • Students should be over 18 years old.
  • Students over 50 years old make sure that your health is good for attending the course, and we kindly ask you to bring with you a health certificate from your doctor.
  • The course will run in both languages English and Greek.
  • Student should be willing to follow the rules of Yama (social rules) and Niyama (personal code and conducts), prescribed by Maharishi Patanjali
  • Every student must follow the dress code strictly as instructed.
  • Please bring with you only proper clothing for yoga practice, simple and comfortable without excesses. (comfortable loose clothing -no bikinis, shorts or tank-tanks are allowed)
  • Every question which is asked by the students in the class must be related only to the course.
  • The female students are requested to inform when they have their monthly period, as it is better not to perform certain Yoga poses during this time, such as shoulder stand, Headstand, Viparitakarani and kapalabhati, Uddiyan bandha etc.
  • All students are instructed to come to the class at least 5 minutes before schedule timing
  • All Teacher training students are requested not to join any other educational or hobby programs during their course with Breath of Life Yoga Centre Crete.
  • Every student is requested to strictly follow the diet & living rules as stated by Breath of Life Yoga Centre Crete. This is for the wellness of the student.
  • Don’t eat spicy, nonveg outside, as this is strictly not allowed to Yoga center, during the time of the course. Students need to have only Sattvik food.
  • All students have to follow the discipline of Breath of life yoga center. Any kind of misbehavior with other students or teacher will be firmly assumed as breaking the code of conduct of the institution.
  • The effectiveness of the course or progress of students is based on the physical and intellectual capability as well as the living standard of students in which they been living and adopting : hence the students have to be fully devoted and obey all the rules and disciplines of the yogic path.
  • Any assistance which is needed by students will be given in any possible way.
  • No extra activities are allowed in the class. For personal discussion and topics not related to the Yoga course, the students will have free time out of the course hours.
  • The teacher training courses are taking place from minimum participants of 4 to a maximum of 14 students.

Payment and fund policy

A 600 EUR deposit is necessary for your booking, which is non-refundable, one month before the YTT starts. You will find the bank account for the deposit on "contact us" page.

In case you can not participate in this course, you can pass your deposit onto the following course.

In case a student leaves during a program for any personal reason, Breath of life is not obliged to return money back.

If the cancelation is made by “Breath of Life ” company, our center will return the deposit in full.

Breath of Life reserves the right to cancel the course at any time if the minimum number of participants is not reached or if any major occurrence out of our control takes place previously to the commencement of the course. In this case, any amount paid by the student will be refunded in full.


Maria Deligianni
Yoga Alliance USA (Hatha Yoga)
Maria was born in Athens, and where she studied psychology, theater, pedagogy and dance. Her studies included the behavior, reaction and expression of the human body and she guided seminars of body expression and relaxation, both in Athens and Crete. Maria was trained in Hatha yoga in Greece as well as abroad, in England and India, and she is a yoga trainer herself, recognized by Yoga Alliance. She has been studying the world philosophy, discovering human evolution throughout time. Nowadays, she runs Breath of Life certified center in Heraklion, Crete.
George Sioras Deligiannis
As a qualified yoga teacher, George is a member of Yoga Alliance International. In the course of his research and studies of Eastern Techniques, he has attended several seminars including Thai Yoga, Thai Massage and Butoh. He has been trained in the art of Vipassana Meditation with several other techniques regarding the body and its energy. He has taught in “Breath of Life” Centre in Crete as well as in other yoga centers in Athens. He also cooperates with physiotherapists and performs classes of therapeutic yoga.
Sada Shiva
Sada Shiva is the founder and director of the Vasistha School of Yoga in Greece, practicing yoga and meditation since 1991. He is also an Ayurvedic nutritionist and educator, a massage therapist, and a sound healer, travelling and teaching worldwide.
Kamala Mirella
For the past four years, Kamala has been living and teaching back and forth in India and Europe. Her intention is to build a link between these two cultures as well as studying and practicing yoga in its complete yet genuine form while in India. She shares the fruits hereafter with her students in Switzerland and all over the world. Kamala recognizes yoga as a beautiful path to realize one’s true nature. She is wholeheartedly dedicated to transmitting not only the physical aspects of yoga but also its spiritual treasures.


The retreat center is located in a quiet and isolated spot near Karteros Beach, an approximate 10-minute drive from the airport (5 km) and city center of Heraklion(7km). Being located near the airport makes our Centre easily accessible.

The local beach in Karteros is a two kilometer long sandy beach, facing the Mediterranean Sea. The beach is certified with the "blue flag", which means that it is clean and safe for swimming. It is about a 15-20 minutes walk from our Centre.

Two beautiful gorges within walking distance from our Center will make easy routes for trekking. The archaeological site of Knossos, which was the capital of the Minoan civilization is a near car-ride.

Recommended Airports

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Heraklion International Airport Nikos Kazantzakis (HER) in ample time to avoid excessive high season costs. The retreat center is a 10-minute drive from the airport.

Arrival by ferry

Heraklion port is accessible from Piraeus by night ship or from other Greek islands by ferries. The Retreat Center is a 15-minute drive from the port.

Arrival by taxi

Taxi service is approximately 15 to 20 EUR per person from the airport or harbor and can be arranged in advance by Yoga Retreats Crete-Greece.
