Be prepared to transform, as this training is engaged in a physical practice twice a day. Each physical practice is energetically dynamic, both physically and mentally. There are 4 guest room that Christina Martini Yoga can provide accommodations as guest to our guests rooms, 18 days guest room, single occupancy first come first serve, simple accommodations as is.
the guest room is in a shared living space with two other students or guests. Shala Santosha Yoga & Wellness, Christina Martini Yoga assume no responsibility for personal belongings left out and used by others including toiletries as it is a shared space therefore suggestions to keep your belongings to your own room after use. Christina Martini Yoga encourages you to get outdoors after your study, training and practice to inhale and exhale the vitamins, sunshine, beauty, and energy of Maui to refresh.
The property is continuously being maintained and improved for our enjoyment and use. Most of the time this consists of small landscaping projects, mowing, etc. However, sometimes larger projects take place that include power tools and produce noise during the day, which might be heard inside the guest house.
You need to rent a car to enjoy the island during your stay, but should you decide to spend your time on the property during the day, please be prepared to encounter some degree of construction as there is a larger project underway.
Its is also important to take in consideration that every guest who accepts to stay in the guest house as a student must participate in Seva- service in yoga practice and lifestyle, where cleaning after themselves each day is recommended. If a communal setting does not fit your lifestyle or needs, it is recommend to find other accommodations.
The guest rooms for lodging are island country-style life on a first come first served basis for the room assigned to you and at discretion of Christina Martini Yoga. No illegal drugs, friend sleepover, or smoking of any substances are allowed inside the guest bedrooms, guest home, or within proximity of the house. Mature and responsible adults only please. Immediate request to vacate will be enforced in the case of breaking the rules or if any guest don't follow the courteous, respectful, responsible, humble, understanding, and loving principles of yoga life that practitioners/ yoga aspiring teachers should embrace.
Bath towels and beach towels for personal use. Chairs, linens, soaps, shampoos and conditioner, toothpaste, paper towel, toilet paper, refrigerator is shared among 3, all utensils and dinner ware, toaster, blender, juicer, oven, stove, coffee maker, kitchen seasonings, and cooking oil. Christina Martini Yoga supply the basics to be comfortable and restful. The Wi-Fi at times is great and fast but there are times when not so much. So if you have to work remote or need an exceptionally fast or reliable connection, they can’t promise it will suffice to your needs at all times.
The 3rd driveway is dedicated those visiting, staying as guest students. Parking on the street is discouraged, so to accommodate larger number of cars, it may be required to park side by side and back to back.
If you require a personal space and more of a personal preference you can search for off-site accommodations. There are no adjustments or refunds to the cost of the program should you elect to find off-site lodging before or during the program as the cost of this program, retreat or training is solely for the program and not based on on-site lodging accommodations. Christina Martini Yoga is not a short term rental house and do not offer additional cost for staying as such.
Instead, in the study of yoga it is known as sangha-satsang-parampara, it is an opportunity to study and grow your yoga practice as a way of living with your teacher for mentorship to get to know one another authentically.
This yoga teacher training course is based on the foundations of Ashtanga yoga holistic practice. Yoga Chiktsa Primary Series, meaning yoga therapy practice for health, wellness, holistic purpose.
Pre-requisite must be met for application acceptance. The traditional yoga sequencing approach is combined with Christina's professional oncology - cancer nursing experiences, as well as a health and wellness background to meld yoga practices for health, veterans, cancer, whole health.
Rich emphasis on philosophy, theory, and practicum to build a solid foundation, deepening your understanding of functional anatomy, breathwork, and energetic elements within each pose as it has been practiced since many centuries ago for healing and therapeutic benefits. Drawing upon this strong foundation, you will experiment, explore, discover, and experience a daily moving meditation known as a flow, moving, Vinyasa style practice each day. It is dynamic, therapeutic, and energetic to the whole self.
By the completion of this program, your continued ongoing daily practice, teaching experiences, continuing education, or self-study will confidently begin a new journey for you to share this yoga practice independently from what you personally have learned and experienced. It is suitable for all levels and conditions. You will explore and learn appropriate modifications for those with health and special conditions, injuries, or physical limitations.
The experience and knowledge you will gain will allow you to provide an integrated, holistic, whole health approach including all dimensions, from posture, meditation, breathing, yoga philosophy, chanting, yoga detox, yoga anatomy, lifestyle, spiritual life, and much more. This program will enrich your knowledge, skills, and experience to work with the general population and specialties such as pre-existing conditions, yoga for vets, yoga for cancer, private one-on-one clients, quality authentic group classes, and more with communities in your neighborhood.
This is a holistic, whole health approach to the disciplines and practices of yoga, with an emphasis on Ashtanga classical yoga to compliment helping those who wish to improve their physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional health and state of mind through the yoga therapeutic principles of postures, breathing techniques, lifestyle, diet, relaxation techniques, and meditation.
This program is suitable for you if you're serious and committed to your own practice and ready to give back with purpose to others. This program best fits you if you already are a dedicated regular or daily yoga practitioner or an established yoga teacher, apprentice or assistant who would like to refine and expand your practice and knowledge to integrate a holistic approach and principles to your current yoga practice and teaching.
This program is also suitable for individuals; practitioners; physical, occupational, or recreational therapists; fitness trainers, health coaches, nutritionist, dietitians, health care or community health care workers, massage therapists; or bodywork practitioners for personal self-growth, development, and exploring a more personal therapeutic yoga practice and approach to competently and safely be able to share and introduce the yoga practices to others to make a difference one life at a time working with individual private sessions.

This training course will journey through the yogic philosophy of the eight limbs of yoga and the yoga foundation roots of the Ashtanga, Hatha, and Vinyasa system. The practice of the Ashtanga Vinyasa Half and Full Primary series and Hatha Vinyasa is emphasized to build a strong foundation, deepening your understanding of functional anatomy, breathwork, and energetic elements within each pose as it has been practiced for many centuries for healing and therapeutic benefits.

By the end of the course, with your continued ongoing practice and study, you will be able to confidently begin a new journey, sharing the yoga practice from what you personally have learned and experienced. You will also acquire the experience and knowledge to provide an integrated and holistic approach of all postures safely and appropriately with adjustments, meditation, breathing, yoga philosophy, chanting, yoga anatomy, lifestyle, and much more. This course starts with everyone as a beginner and progressively grows. It is the beginning of the first year studies. Anyone called to this path can enjoy the course, whether aspiring as a teacher or regular practitioner. When we step into the role of teaching, we are not simply sharing a physical practice to keep practitioners fit, but instead, the intention is sharing a holistic, whole health, mind, body, and spiritual practice that helps people to heal physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
The training allows your space to embody yoga, we access the opportunity to still the mind, prepare the body for meditation and the foundation for yoga to begin.
This is an immersion intensive experience that will develop a solid firm foundation of inner discipline through the practice of yoga, breath, and meditation disciplines. Those interested in RYT 200-hour and registering as an RYT with Yoga Alliance must have a minimum of 3 year of already established, disciplined daily or committed Ashtanga yoga practice or minimum one year of a dedicated Vinyasa / Hatha yoga practice.
Knowledge of the Ashtanga Primary half or full series of over one year of practice is advised but not required. Please submit with your inquiry how long you've practiced yoga, what method, system, form or style, where, and with whom. Also, include a short personal bio of yourself, your current career, medical conditions, limitations, injuries, medications, and allergies. Lastly, also share why you are interested in this program, your mission, intention, and purpose for the training. Maximum 10 students and a minimum of 4 will be accepted per session.
All training and study materials, practice yoga sessions, clinic sessions. certification of completion, RYT 200 hrs. Yoga Alliance RYT certificate to register. One year continued consultation once the program is completed.
One can choose to continue to return for continuing study annually, semiannually or when convenient to grow their knowledge continuously as yoga has no graduation to one's mind, body, spirit, and knowledge, most especially as a mentor, teacher or practitioner. Deeper understanding, practice, appreciation, skills to safely touch, assist, and adjust practitioners, and offer a therapeutic practice.
One can also choose to take the therapeutic holistic program year 2 which will deeply open the knowledge for a deeper holistic health wellness approach to pre-medical conditions which is 21 days program. Pre-requisite applies before acceptance to this program.
All excursions are planned at your own planning and expense. You will need a rental car during your stay in Maui to get around and enjoy the offerings of this paradise.
Christina Martini is an international yoga teacher, educator, ashtanga practitioner. With more than 15 years of experience with yoga practices of Ashtanga Yoga and cancer nurse. Her passion to share the practice of Yoga to others is holistic, transforming and life-inspiring. She is a Licensed oncology-cancer Nurse, Certified Oncology Advocate and Navigator, Harold Freeman Institute. Health & Wellness Educator, Facilitator and Coach. A member to the American Holistic Nurses Association, American College of Lifetime Medicine, Holistic practices, E-RYT, YACEP, RYS Yoga Alliance.
This teacher training program will take place in Haiku Town. Nearby Towns are Makawao, Paia, Pukalani, Kula, Upcountry, and Road to Hana. You will need to get a rental car to enjoy all that this paradise can offer while you are staying in Maui. The Training Shala School is located 7 minute drive from the accommodation property.
If you are new to Maui, Haiku, Maui is located in the upcountry, north shore side, a favored area due to its beauty and rainforest environment. The property is lush but definitely country-style living with all the pros and cons that come with it.
Each morning the birds, roosters, cows, cats, and dogs wakes up to the sunrise. It’s simple and nothing fancy. There are island bugs, lizards, flora, fauna, and fowl, the types and amounts of which are seasonal and based on how much rain during the season.
Mosquitoes, geckos, cockroach, deer, chickens, and roosters and neighbors cats and dogs can be seen on the street from time to time. They have a mini Aussie and a outdoor cat that sometimes run around the property.
If your are susceptible to flowers, pollen, etc, please be prepared with the appropriate allergy medication.
They live in a quiet neighborhood that has old streets and many families with keiki (kids) and some strolling dogs. Please drive carefully, 15 miles per hour, as you enter Haupoa and Lemi Place. In Hawaii we practice "Aloha", the island way of saying please respect and appreciate the people, culture and "Aina" (land/earth) in your life and around you.
This retreat will include a weekend of cooking class prepping meals for healthier choices. Special treat Juicing for health lesson included.
There are grocery stores nearby, such as MANA in Paia Town, Haiku Market in Haiku, Rodeo Market in Makawao, Pukalani Superrette in Pukalani, and Whole Foods, Costco, Down to Earth, and Alive and Well in Kahului. Food Land and a Safe Way are on the island too.
During your free time, drive yourself to the beach, enjoy hiking trails, nature walks, waterfalls, swim, kite surf, windsurf, surf, shop the towns. 15-30 minute drive from the retreat property.
None included, however there are beautiful places to book yourself for additional body work treats.

Once you are accepted and confirmed for the program, please book your flight to arrive at Kahului Airport (OGG). Arrive on the start date posted, which is on a Saturday.
Depart on the date posted as the last day of class. Upon arrival at Kahului Airport (OGG), take a taxi or rent a car. We are 25 minutes to training Shala in Haiku, Maui. You will need to get a rental car to enjoy all that this paradise can offer you while you are here.
Lyft or Uber is available estimates about 25 - 30 USD one way. The taxis on site at the airport upon your arrival are about the same.
