Yoga Teacher Training in the French Carribean

Spend two intense weeks following the rhythm of the sacred science of yoga and listening to yourself. This 11-day training gives you the opportunity to adjust to a tight schedule while receiving quality lessons. Your involvement will be much more demanding than in classical training because you will continue the course even on weekends, according to Indian tradition. By deepening your practice and living your daily life in awareness, through impartial and detached observation of your actions, you can inspire other yogis to follow the path of freedom by sharing your knowledge.

Accommodation

You will be welcome in a friendly wooden tropical house, immerged in green which instantly infuses a feeling of peace.

The yoga room opens onto the garden, so you can enjoy the freshness. The rooms with single beds are shared by two students. Two single rooms are also available on request.

This warm, benevolent atmosphere (maximum 12 people) allows you to take a break, which also creates an ideal context for meetings and sharing: friendships of the heart are often established.

  • Asana: Asana (pose) is a Sanskrit word for comfortable sitting. You practice them to manage to sit in meditation without discomfort.
  • Pranayama: Pranayama is much more than a breathing exercise. " Prana " means breath and " Ayama " means control and expansion; by combining the two, pranayama means: to concentrate its energy in order to better direct and increase it.

In addition to this meditation which comes from the Himalayas, you will also approach the techniques of sound meditation with the Tibetan bowls, the process of yoga Nidra, and also meditative techniques of healing.
  • Teaching methodology: The methodology, in a benevolent environment for the students, gives tools to build lessons on different themes, creates a benevolent atmosphere in the class, introduces different yoga practices, develops a relationship of trust between student and teacher, and increases Self-awareness.
  • Anatomy and physiology of yoga: Link the mechanisms of the body and the postures studied. It is also important to link anatomy and philosophy: "all that is above is like that which is below"
  • Yoga Philosophy: Beyond the systemic study of the subtle bodies, you will study the life principles of yoga as described in the Bhagavad Gita and the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali.
  • Kinesiology or the art of healing stress: The body speaks to you if you know how to interpret its messages. He speaks to you both in terms of chronic pain and somatization. And if it is expressed in pain through “bad words”, it can also help you understand ourselves in a much softer way through muscle biofeedback. From your childhood, you lived painful emotional experiences which are forgotten but nevertheless active and we, therefore, implemented, in a subconscious way, conditioning and avoidance. Your history is memorized at the cellular level and it is enough to question the body to have access to it.
  • Emotional body language means the integration of body, mind, and spirit. The purpose of this art of healing is to identify and correct energy blockages as they appear in the present, both physically and psychically, in order to free the mind from conditioned belief systems that limit your perception in all areas of life. This 100-hour training includes:

The yoga taught during the training is hatha yoga according to the Indian tradition (vinyasa - restorative). The discovery of the ashtanga vinyasa is proposed at the end of the training.

Location

The yoga teacher training takes place on the small friendly island of Saint Martin, near Guadeloupe. You will enjoy tropical weather with white sand beaches and turquoise sea, where the water is magic.

Three delicious vegetarian meals will be served daily. The cuisine is simple, tasty, and vegetarian, prepared one hour in advance according to Ayurvedic tradition.

This option is not included in the program (at an additional cost of 300 EUR) and brings this ancient hatha yoga teaching a Western vision. Listen to the messages sent by your body, in terms of pain, limitations, illnesses, or stiffness. It reveals the link between the anatomy and the philosophy of life of yoga. Consciousness gives space to the mind and the body softens. This training is enriched by workshops on emotional body language and emotional facial language, in order to bring more awareness to your practice and to discover the subtle relationships that govern emotions and physical limitations.
