The course will take place in Danyasa Yoga Retreat in Costa Rica. The quaint beach town of Dominical lies on the northern border of the Osa Peninsula, considered the most bio-diverse place on Earth by the National Geographic Society and the United Nations. Dominical and the surrounding areas boast world-class surf, lush jungled covered mountains that soar from the sea, an abundance of exciting adventure opportunities, and a host of spectacular natural attractions ranging from waterfalls to sea caves to hidden beaches and more.

Food will be made by the amazing team of Edible Alchemy chefs here on site. Food will be vegan with egg options and gluten-free. Three meals per day will be served, except on days off when lunch is not included. The food they prepare is sourced from local farms using organic, sustainable, biodynamic, and permaculture methods of agriculture as much possible, creating a farm to table experience to nourish the individuals creating the container.

They believe that by supporting local farmers and producers who share their values, they support the eco-system, economy, community, and environment. By valuing the nourishment which put into your body, they output a higher energetic vibration, enabling the change they wish to see in the world.

They are very proud of the food they create for you and look forward to nourishing your body and soul with delicious healthy fare. The water at Danyasa comes from the municipal water supply and is treated and good to drink, but they also offer free filtered water for their guests as well.

How to get there

Recommended Airports

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO). If renting a car, it allows three hours to arrive in Dominical from the airport. They do highly recommend renting a GPS with your vehicle, as most streets in Costa Rica do not have signs or even names. Shared-ride shuttles provide another option for getting to the location. Sit back and watch the scenery and leave the driving to the pros.

Shared-ride shuttles usually leave from the airport and generally cost around 55 USD each way. The shuttles take about three hours. They generally recommend Monkey Rides or Easy Ride. Private shuttles from the airport or the city run 160 USD and take about three hours. One can also take a 20-minute airplane flight from San Jose to Quepos and then take a taxi or rent a car to drive the remaining 30 minutes south to Dominical.

Arrival by bus

Public buses can take you from downtown San Jose right to the doorstep. The buses leave from the TRACOPA bus terminal, and the bus line is called Delio Morales. You will have to buy a ticket to Uvita, but you can get off anywhere. There are two buses each day. Each bus stops briefly at Orotina and Quepos before arriving at Dominical. The buses leave at 6:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. and take about five hours to get to Dominical.

Cancellation Policy

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 14% of the total price.
