Intensive 200-hour FitflowYoga teacher training itinerary

The 8-day intensive program is designed to provide you with an immersive, transformative experience, combining online learning with a focused in-person practice. Get ready to dive deep into yoga, develop your teaching skills, and transform your practice in just one week.

1. Introduction to yoga philosophy and alignment

  • Morning: Welcome, overview of the program, introduction to yoga philosophy
  • Afternoon: Asana practice: basic alignment and postures
  • Evening: Group discussion - the history and evolution of yoga

2. Anatomy and alignment in practice

  • Morning: Anatomy of key poses, exploring the body’s movements
  • Afternoon: Asana practice: exploring movement through the body
  • Evening: meditation and breathwork techniques (pranayama)

3. Teaching methodologies and sequencing

  • Morning: The art of sequencing – creating flow and safe practices
  • Afternoon: Teaching practicum – partnered teaching sessions
  • Evening: Discussion: how to cue, adjust, and support students

4. Deepening your practice

  • Morning: Advanced asana practice, exploring new flows
  • Afternoon: Philosophy - the 8 limbs of yoga and applying them to teaching
  • Evening: Group reflection and journaling

5. Yoga styles and practices

  • Morning: Introduction to different yoga styles (Vinyasa, Hatha, Restorative)
  • Afternoon: Practicum – teaching short sequences in different styles
  • Evening: Yoga Nidra and relaxation techniques

6. Ethics, the business of yoga, and self-care

  • Morning: Ethics of yoga, the role of a yoga teacher
  • Afternoon: The business of yoga - marketing, building your brand, setting boundaries
  • Evening: Restorative asana practice and guided meditation

7. Review, final practicum, and graduation

  • Morning: Final review, teaching practicum (full class teach)
  • Afternoon: Feedback and certification discussion
  • Evening: Graduation ceremony and celebration

This 8-day, 7-night intensive will provide you with the tools, confidence, and knowledge to begin your journey as a certified yoga teacher. With a combination of practical experience and in-depth study, you will leave feeling prepared and inspired.

Dive deep and completely immerse yourself into the study of yoga with Fitflowyoga’s 8-day teaching training program.

  • Learn how the history of ancient yoga ties into today’s masters
  • Discover mindfulness and vipassana meditations
  • Experience intensive study and practice of asanas
  • Discover the meaning of chakras, bandhas, mantras, kriyas
  • Learn how to chant and discover why the sounds you create can help you vibrate at a different level
  • Understand basic yoga anatomy and how it’s relevant to yoga postures
  • Develop confidence as a vinyasa yoga teacher and how to develop a professional attitude
  • Learn how to connect with your students
  • Find out how to safely and confidently adjust students by hands
  • Create class plans that are sequenced properly to keep students injury-free and progressing
  • Observe and assist senior teachers or practice teaching in your community classes
  • Learn Kriya techniques
  • 15-hour non-contact hours: Reading, self-study, writing, homework, etc.
  • Hours are accumulated outside of practical hours as “contactless” hours.
  • Learn to sing mantras accompanied by kirtan music in the mantra section
  • Each participant in classroom management by given 2 or 1 internship course throughout the training
  • Learn classroom management on-site by taking part in two lessons as an assistant
  • The lesson observes
  • Learn to teach and sequence 72 yoga poses
  • Take lessons, and learn tips for marketing on social media from the master trainer
  • Study Sanskrit for yoga teachers
  • Students practice basic pranayama techniques and mudras and how the breath works with the mind and body to energize the nervous system
  • Participants learn how proper breathing supports bandha and yoga asana practice
  • Practicing yoga Nidra
  • You will receive feedback from the lead instructor after your internship lessons
  • Pdf study book

Note: A list of assignments to be completed throughout the program is sent to all participants in the program. You will need to research to complete some assignments (homework) throughout the program. All assignments must be sent to Fitflowyoga in full before the program ends via email.

  • After 20:00 in the evening, it is obligatory to do the homework during the self-study time (count for learning hours).
  • Some activities may be added according to the status of the yoga program and the participants.
