You will be staying in comfortable accommodation with a beautiful yoga hall and air-conditioned rooms with attached baths provided by Himalayan Yoga Retreat and Ayurveda Center.
Students who complete their training will get certificate from "Yoga Alliance International" - Internationally recognized Certificate in Meditation and Mindfulness Teacher Training.
This course will be taught according to the ancient scriptures and coupled with modern medical and scientific explanations. You, at the end of the course, will have a clear understanding of the concept of meditation, how to practice, and also how to teach others. Since you will experience the transformations taking place at physical, mental, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual levels, you will be able to teach your students with confidence. What is Meditation? It is not the word Meditation. You must know the concept of Meditation and Mindfulness. Meditation is a systematic conscious process- education and training process to gain control over your Mind. From multiple objects and multiple thoughts(monkey mind) one should be able to bring your mind to one object and one positive thoughts and maintain it for longer period gradually.
This cannot be done by force. You have to use correct tools, and techniques and train your mind to bring the Mind to Meditation and Mindfulness state. To train your mind "Yoga tools and techniques" are used in our training course,. This is how Meditation and Mindfulness was taught and trained in the ancient days according to the ancient scriptures. Yoga techniques such as Yama, Niyama, Yogic Physical exercises including Asanas/Postures, Pranayama/Yogic breathing techniques, Pratyahara, Dharana/focusing, Dhyana/Defocusing and Samadhi techniques are used in our training. In this training course Himalayan Yoga Retreat and Ayurveda Center will teach you how to meditate and also train you how to teach others.
Generally, meditation is considered difficult especially by young and Western students, because they are not used to sitting for long periods. Meditation is a process of mind control. Therefore, with proper knowledge, it can be practiced in various physical positions such as sitting, lying standing, walking, dancing, and doing asana. The mind can be controlled in all these physical positions using proper tools. In this teacher training course, they will train you to meditate in all these different physical positions. Whichever physical position suits you, you can choose one or more positions to meditate.
Please note the schedule is subject to change. The above programs are conducted every month. Twice a month (starting on 1st and 15th through out the year except in April in Siem reap. Please note that no children are allowed during this program.

Krishna Raja, master teacher in meditation and yoga has been teaching meditation for the last 20 years. He started practicing meditation and traditional Indian mindfulness yoga at the age of 8 under the guidance of his uncle. He is from a family which lives a traditional Indian life including meditation and yoga way of life. Later in his life he studied and researched the ancient scriptures of meditation, yoga, Buddhism, Hinduism and other related subjects in India, Nepal and Thailand. He was member of the Yoga Therapist team for the STOP DIABETES THROUGH YOGA project of the Yoga University.
This teacher training course is located in the temple city of Siem Reap, Cambodia. The Himalayan Yoga Retreat Center is located by the Siem Reap River and close to the world-famous Angkor Wat temple. Meditation sessions will be held at the school and retreat center, riverside, Botanical gardens, temples and pagodas, mountains, and Lotus farms and lakes.
You will be served daily healthy meals included in the price. Food influences our mind through our nervous system. You will be provided the ideal Yogic diet which helps in meditation.
