Dieses Angebot ist eines der 10 beliebtesten in Frankreich
It takes courage and dedication to choose to change your life, and it takes hard work and experience to become an accomplished teacher. Take the first step! Join this 200-hour teacher training course, designed to encourage you to find your own voice and teaching style, in 22 days by the glorious foothills of Mont Blanc.
The accommodation is in a renovated heritage building located 10 minutes away from downtown Chamonix. Built for the Olympic Games in 1924, the Gare des Glaciers was the first cable-car station at the Aiguille du Midi. Located in the Plerin area, you have a unique view of Mont Blanc, the glacier, and the surrounding summits. The chalet has five rooms, a studio, and a multi-purpose hall with a view on Mont Blanc, with a capacity for up to 22 people.
To be eligible for the course, students must have a minimum of 18 months of consistent practice. My Yoga People may ask for a short, simple video of your practice (iPhones and webcams are fine).
Almost everybody sits on the mat on day one and questions whether or not they have it in them to become teachers. What has struck you most profoundly during past teacher training courses is the ability and willingness for complete transformation.
My Yoga People watch people blossom before their eyes, they inhabit a space that they had not previously thought possible and they draw on incredible reserves of resilience in order to keep growing, keep learning, and keep striving to do the very best they can. What they tell their students on day one is that completing this course is actually just the beginning. Yes, you can go out and teach, but what you really have is a license to begin the journey to becoming a true teacher.
It takes courage and dedication to choose to change your life and it takes hard work and experience to become an accomplished teacher. The time spent on the course encourages people to find their own voice, learn, and make mistakes in a safe environment. Paying a fee does not guarantee a pass, students are expected to work hard to study and most importantly to improve.
Some of the key modules you will cover on the course are listed below:
You will begin teaching practice from week one. The aim of this course is to provide a safe environment for students to grow at their own pace. Until the final assessment, teaching practice will not be judged or marked, though feedback will be given. The aim is not to be a perfect teacher from day one but to have the space and encouragement to find your own voice and teaching style. There will be a final, practical assessment.
Yoga practice is about so much more than just the poses. Hands-on adjustments can allow a student to feel both safe and supported. The relationship between student and teacher requires trust, empathy, and mutual respect. Through daily workshops incorporating hands-on adjustments, other kinds of touch, and how to adjust a student verbally, you will empower each future teacher to deal with any real-life class situation that arises.
There will be twice-daily meditation sessions during the course. You will begin by sitting for around 10 minutes morning and evening, and by the end of the course, you will be able to sit for 30 minutes straight. You will explore different techniques in meditation so that each student is able to find a technique that best works for them. Pranayama sessions will be every morning after practice. You will go through a number of different breathing techniques so that by the end of the course, you will be able to choreograph your own self-practice and teach basic pranayama to students.
Yoga teaches you to be inclusive. With yoga growing in popularity all the time, you are starting to see a bigger variation in the level of students' knowledge, body types, injuries, and specialty yoga such as yoga for pregnancy. You will explore the ways in which you can teach an open-level class keeping all different types of students both safe and happy. You will also extend this module to include modifying your own self-practice in accordance with your needs.
As with love, you cannot truly show your students compassion and empathy until you learn how to first show it to yourselves. You will explore the ways in which a constant negative internal dialogue can impede your spiritual and individual growth and learn tools for developing your own sense of empathy.
You will be working from the Yoga Sutras, Baghavad Gita, Hatha Yoga Pradipika, and the Upanishads. The aim is to always make yoga philosophy current and relevant and understand the ways in which it can enhance the lives we already lead.
Classes will be held in the chalet six days per week (Monday to Saturday), one day off basis. My Yoga People will be inviting guest teachers to lecture on a range of subjects. Workshops will take place once a week. One day off each week will be spent on rest and exploring Chamonix.
Please note this is only a guide and may change.
Mariza is an RYT under Yoga Alliance. She tries to keep her classes honest. She holds her spirituality within her. If you have a question to ask, she will always make time to answer and if she does not know the answer, she'll tell you that too. Mariza practiced Iyengar, Ashtanga, and Jivamukti and then trained as a gait therapist. Her practice is a fusion of all these elements. She plays music in class and tries to make things as fun as possible. She has no fixed ideas on what yoga is or should be.
Meals are not included. There is a fully equipped kitchen available, with supermarkets, bakeries, and an organic market nearby to buy groceries.
In town there are supermarkets, nice shops, and lots of nice restaurants, where you can try the traditional Savoyard food. There are two spas in town to pamper yourself, and there is a very beautiful one in Italy, going through the tunnel, called Pres Saint Didier, which calls for a day trip to that location. For the most adventurous, when the weather allows, there is paragliding too.
Chamonix is a mountain town, so most activities involve going into the mountains. There are lots of nice walks and hikes to do, mountain biking, and climbing. Trips to the mountains with a local guide can be arranged upon request at your own expense. There is also the aiguille du midi lift in town, a 3842-meter peak in the Mont Blanc massif of the French Alps.
This is the closest you can get to the summit of Mont-Blanc without hiking or climbing. The ticket to this tour includes a pass to the step into the void, where you can have a perfect view of the Alps. Located nearby is the tunnel that connects Chamonix in France with Courmayeur in Italy, which is a great destination for a day trip.
