Bounty Resort has lush green gardens, swimming pool, delicious restaurant, sea view yoga shala, ocean view accommodation and three beaches. All rooms have free wi-fi, balcony and a private bathroom. Deluxe rooms have a fridge, tv and ocean front balcony. Bungalows have great sea views. Shared rooms have two twin beds. You can save money and book tuition only and reserve your own accommodation.

Course Structure

1. Techniques, Training and Practice

  • Guided Practice

Begin each morning with meditation and pranayama followed by traditional aerial hatha yoga. Evening classes are aerial vinyasa, which connects breath and movement to create dynamic flows.

  • Aerial Acro

Use aerial swings to support flyers and bases find correct balance and alignment to achieve basic and advanced acro yoga poses plus creative new variations. 1 class.

Aerial Choreography

Learn to synchronize simple aerial sequences in pairs then coordinate as a group to choreograph an artistic performance mixing aerial with regular yoga, acro yoga and dance. Create a theme with music and record an amazing video. 1 class.

  • Aerial Silk Workshop

Use anti-gravity style silk hammocks to practice more intricate techniques and complicated asanas smooth-rolling transitions by wrapping the fabric around the body. 1 class.

2. Analytical Training

Receive detailed analytic instruction of traditional aerial yoga asanas and techniques along with their classical hatha yoga counterparts. Learn correct alignment, cueing, sequencing, adjustments, mistakes and modifications for various levels. (daily)

3. Anatomy

Explore the body as a holistic system, the biomechanics of movement, the health benefits of various poses, principles of compression and decompression, stretching safely, techniques to reduce pain and heal injuries with an emphasis on the spine. (1-2x)

4. Yoga Philosophy

Receive a brief overview of yoga history and philosophy and learn to create an authentic yogic lifestyle by integrating the ethical guidelines of the yamas and niyamas from Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, plus the history and development of aerial yoga. (1x).

5. Teaching Practice

ULU Yoga's greatest strength is producing confident skilled instructors. You will practice teaching every day plus design and teach an original class each week followed by detailed feedback. This has proven to be exceptionally effective and many students get great jobs after completing the course.

6. Teaching Methodology

Learn the qualities of a good teacher, different teaching styles, communication skills, principles of demonstration, observation, time management, group dynamics, fulfilling individual needs, working in various group settings plus establishing priorities and boundaries.

7. Self Study

Students must complete some pre-course work. ULU Yoga has online videos to practice some basic poses and pranayama. During the course, there is daily self-study, group work and various assignments such as designing original classes and preparing short presentations. 1-2 hours daily.

Course Materials

50hr AerialYoga TT includes a detailed course manual with over 50 poses, scripted sequences, anatomy, yoga history and philosophy, class outlines, safety guides, technical info and videos. 200/300/500-Hr students receive printed manuals of Teaching Yoga by Mark Stephens, Hatha Illustrated by Martin Kirk and Yoga Anatomy by Leslie Kaminoff, Patanjali's Yoga Sutras, the Hatha Yoga Pradipika and the Bhagavad Gita.

ULU Yoga Swing

On this course, you will practice with the ULU Yoga Swing, which has cushion padding for greater comfort and support than regular silk hammocks, which are often painful and cause bruising. However, you may also train with regular silk hammocks and do all the same poses. In Bali, you must bring your's, but in Thailand, the school has both. Check Youtube to see the ULU Yoga Swing in action and ensure it is the right choice for you.


This course is open to all levels and students are recommended to take rest and modify as needed for advanced poses. Before starting the course you should do yoga at least twice a week for a couple of months plus practice along with ULU Yoga's online videos and get a medical check-up.


The key to ULU Yoga’s success has been open communication. Each week there is a group sharing circle to maintain group harmony and ensure your personal and academic needs are met so your time is truly enjoyable and nurturing on all levels to create a holistic experience.

Yoga Alliance Certificate

ULU Yoga RYS is a 200-Hr, 300-Hr, and 500-Hr Registered School plus a Continuing Education Provider with Yoga Alliance USA. After successfully completing a course you will receive a certificate of completion and become eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT).

You will receive a 50-Hr Aerial Yoga Teacher Training Certification from ULU Yoga who is a 200/300/500-Hr Registered School with Yoga Alliance. Yoga Alliance members may count this as Additional Teacher Training Hours and receive a Certificate of Continuing Education. ULU Yoga graduates teach at elite yoga studios and luxury retreat centers around the world.

Are You ULU?

Ulu Yoga originally chose the name ULU simply because it sounded nice and had no meaning in English, like AUM. After getting into aerial we surprisingly learned it meant owl in Hindi.

The owl is like an aerial yogi who sits in quiet meditation, peering through the darkness to dispel ignorance and illuminate the true nature of reality. He then flies into action with wisdom and skill to achieve his goal. ULU also means whirlwind or crazy in Arabic languages, where they say “Are you ULU?”.

They define ULU as Universal Love and Understanding. All together this summarises perfectly ULU Yoga’s love for traditional yoga and crazy styles like aerial, which can serve to uplift and unite humanity.


Instructors are carefully chosen so that each subject is taught by a trained specialist. ULU Yoga is a big team and availability is subject to change by season and location.

Cody Gavin Pizer

Cody (South Africa) RYT-500, lead ULU Yoga Trainer. Cody has been Teaching Yoga Globally for several years and instructing on multiple Yoga Teacher Training as a lead and Senior Instructor. He has trained in India and Thailand on Multi-style Vinyasa, Yoga, Hatha, Ashtanga and Yin Teacher Trainings, and attended multiple movement, anatomy and mediation workshops throughout Asia. He has certifications in aerial and SUP yoga. Additionally, he has several years of experience in Qi Gong, Primal Movement, Contemporary Dance, Calisthenic training and a black belt in Taekwondo.

Cody has taken the role of lead instructor on numerous Yoga Teacher Training for over several years. He specializes in Human Anatomy Related to Movement, Yoga, Buddhist, and Classic Philosophy, Yoga Asana Analytics and Movement Clinics, Guided meditation and self-meditation training, as well as Vinyasa, Aerial, Primal, Restorative and SUP Yoga. He is a long-time meditator, movement artist, vegan and intermittent faster plus has written books on mindfulness, meditation, and Flow.

Cody has led multiple mindfulness retreats, mixed movement arts and flow workshops in Bali, India, Malaysia, Thailand, and Cambodia plus taught at the famous Yoga Barn in Bali and Blue Indigo in Cambodia. He has an uninhibited spirit, which directs his life and inspires others to grow beyond themselves. He has a passion for movement and mindfulness which connects disciplines and translates into his holistic approach to classes. He feels that it is his life purpose to share his knowledge and inspire others through yoga, movement, and philosophy. Guiding his students to discover more about the miracle and magic that is life.

Shashi Mahler

Shashi (Germany) is lead ULU Aerial Yoga Teacher, E-RYT 500hr Hatha-Yoga and 500hr Aerial Yoga. Shashi stepped on the path of Yoga more than 10 years ago with the passionate studies of western, yogic and Buddhist philosophy. Her inexhaustible studies of metaphysical and energetical concepts, explaining the functions of the body and mind guided her to breathing and meditation techniques. Soon she came across the practice of physical yoga and found great emotional and mental relief in her daily practice.

Shashi finished university and went abroad to enjoy silent retreats in nature and monasteries and study with renowned yoga masters. Based on this she created an intuitive restorative Aerial Yoga Style. The heart leads but western minded course shares the great gift of restorative Aerial yoga. Her aim is to show the compassionate way of self-healing through the opening and acceptance of the body. Her grounded and determined personality together with her lighthearted easy laughter invites each student to more curiosity and depth within.

Arihant Ortega

Arihant (Spain) found yoga in 2007 and spent many years traveling the world, volunteering in ecovillages and healing centers, visiting ashrams in India, studying under numerous teachers and living the yogic path. In Rishikesh, he obtained his 200-Hr certification under the guidance of Yogacharya Dinesh Shastri, a disciple of Swami Yogananda Maharaj Ji.

His exploration into the depths of Vedic culture led him to study Ayurveda at Ashramam Ayurveda Hospital and Training Institute of Kerala and Sanskrit and Mantra at the American Institute of Vedic Studies. Other qualifications include Sound Healing, Acroyoga, Thai massage, and Indian Classical music. Arihant is a sincere caring soul passionate about enriching the lives of others with the sacred wisdom yoga in all aspects of life. He also loves puppies and has a great sense of humor.

Brett Moran

Brett (U.K.) is a published author, entrepreneur, and Yoga instructor who began his yoga and meditation journey 17 years ago in a dark and dingy prison cell. After his first wake up call, Brett taught himself to meditate and lived with monks in Thailand to transform his life around. He has completed a 300-hour YTT with Vikasa Yoga in Thailand and has numerous certifications and personal development. Brett is a qualified Reiki, EFT, and meditation practitioner.

In the last several years Brett has been teaching and running yoga and meditation workshops at festivals around Europe. He also runs his life-changing retreats in Asia, UK, and Ibiza. He shares numerous Yoga styles and practices Hatha, yin, tantra, restorative and more. Brett is a vegan, intermittent faster, and loves to share philosophical concepts and spiritual metaphors in his classes. Most of all, Brett is passionate about helping students ignite their personal power so they can live fearless and free.

There are three perfect beaches just a few minutes walk from the resort plus thirty more gems spread around the island. You will love swimming in the turquoise sea and snorkeling with exotic fish.

Nearby are many great restaurants, shopping, waterfalls, temples, yoga and wellness centres for detox, dance and massage. Thong Sala town, the main ferry port, is just 5-15 minutes ride and features the bustling Pantip Food Market and Saturday Night Market.

Visit the magical Dome Sauna, a mystical mountain sanctuary with herbal steam saunas, sound healing performances and tribal bonfire for meditation and stargazing. You can also take a taxi ferry around the island, go diving with whale sharks and explore Angthong National Marine Park.
