Vinyasa Yoga Shala would like to offer you a course that might be helpful for you to deal with a hard time. If you are battling stress daily due to the current situation, it might be a good idea to join this course.
The course/hours count as Continuing Education hours for Registered Yoga Teachers (RYT®) only.
This course offers you pre-recorded videos that will help you to learn. It will be eight hours in total. In addition, you can also attend two hours of live sessions each that will be held on Saturday and Sunday. These live sessions are not mandatory but are there to help guide you with this course. Alternatively, if you cannot attend the live sessions during the weekend, you are also invited to join their daily live sessions.
You can also request a specific time if the proposed schedule does not work for you. The schedule will be discussed with you after you register. Please note that you will be given access to the materials to complete it within 10 days. If you cannot complete it within the time frame, you will have to pay again for the access.
The live sessions will be held during the weekend at 2:00 p.m. (Saturday and Sunday). If you cannot attend the weekend schedule, please discuss with Vinyasa Yoga Shala if you could attend the weekday schedule instead. The timing of the live session for the weekday schedule will be discussed with you when you register.
In this course, you will learn the blend of the different yoga styles which will help you boost your immunity. The aim is to help you gain better immunity as well as help you relax and calm and keep your stress at bay. The teachers of Vinyasa Yoga Shala are very much concerned about the present scenario, as they can see the second strain of COVID-19 is much more intense and attacking the youth.
So they try to come up with yoga practice and healthy living, which can be very helpful in building immunity and creating a positive outlook towards life. This course aims to help you boost immunity by combining Ayurveda and yoga practices. In this workshop, you will learn the following practices:
In Ayurveda, you will learn the introduction of Ayurveda, types of body, what food you should eat and avoid, and the remedies or spices you need to use to boost immunity.
Yin yoga targets Yin tissue in your body by activating the Yin side (parasympathetic side). It works on the body's meridian (energy channels by removing blockages from them, which will lead to the proper flow of prana and blood circulation throughout your body.
Hatha yoga is the practice of balancing the solar and lunar energies of your body and bringing awareness within the body and the mind. Here in this practice, you will learn the asana sequence which will help you to boost immunity as well as develop the strength in your body. Hatha yoga will help to improve blood circulation in the body and improve the function of the organs in the body.
Hatha yoga practice brings flexibility and steadiness to the body. You will study the deep understanding of muscle and how it works in yoga practice. For instance, muscle contraction mechanism, over-activeness in muscles, and ways to relax the muscles. You will also learn how to increase muscular flexibility and strength.
Breathing is one of the most important aspects of living being. It is a bridge between the body and mind. In this pranayama practice, you will learn how to give a free flow of prana (vital energy, life force). Many people do not know how to breathe properly which causes lots of diseases in their body and mind. So, learn the best techniques and proper way of breathing, so the lungs can become strong and the oxygen level can be maintained in the body.
Yog Nidra is physic sleep or yog sleep. It is a practice of sleeping with awareness. It is a state between wakefulness and dreaming. It is a relaxation technique and also a practice where you learn how to improve your awareness of the external world to the inner self. This is particularly helpful in the current situation, where due to COVID-19, every day you hear lots of news from everywhere. Many people suffer from Insomnia, anxiety, stress, etc.
Ashish is well-versed with asanas and in teaching them to his students. He has been teaching in Rishikesh and other parts of the country for the last seven years. Ashish studied yoga at the famous International Vishwaguru School of Yoga Vedniketandham in Rishikesh. He obtained his master's degree in yogic sciences from Sanskrit University in Uttarakhand. He has also attended several workshops and seminars on physical education, sports training, and yoga in various parts of the country. Teaching Hatha yoga, Ashtanga yoga, Vinyasa flow, and adjustment alignment of postures.
Tanushree Rawat is responsible for teaching asanas, pranayama, meditation, mantras, and other yoga forms. She obtained her post-graduate in Yoga from Sanskrit University in Haridwar in 2011. She continued her education by obtaining a Master of Science in Yogic Science in 2013. Furthermore, she completed her six-months certificate training from Ved Niketan Ashram and a 200-hour yoga teacher training program at Jeevmoksha Yoga Gurukul.
Born and raised in a small village northern state of Uttarakhand Indian, in the Himalayan foothills beside the Ganges River. Aman is the elder son in his village family where the family needed his physical help on daily household duty. He is a hard-working boy who attending school in the morning and helping the family in the second half of the day till late at night. Aman’s classes will challenge you, make you sweat, and push you to the next level. The yoga sequence will open and strengthen your body all while bringing you to a state of peace, relaxation, and rejuvenation.
