Nelson is a pioneer in the practice of this discipline in Ecuador. He started practicing yoga more than 30 years ago, although throughout his experience he have explored different methods and styles with different masters. Hatha Yoga, Restorative, Kundalini, Raja, Vinyasa Iyengar and more. He helped open the Kundalini Yoga School in Ecuador. Nelson directed the NY Yoga Center for some years, and worked on the continuous training of teachers of NY, and Chicago. Throughout his life as a teacher, yoga became not only a personal or physical practice, but more and holistic way of life.
What makes this training extra special is its location in space and time. The deep immersion in nature and the vital energy of the Galapagos Islands are all you need for transformational and regenerative experiences.
Getting here is half the adventure, so enjoy the ride(s)! You will initially arrive on the desolate island of Baltra, where only iguanas, cacti, the military base, and the airport live. You might use every possible and impossible vehicle that day. After the plane, bus, ferry, and pick-up truck, you will arrive at Yoga Bay.
Yoga Revista invites you to unplug from the everyday to experience the Galapagos Islands at their most natural. Their peaceful and magical waterfront location is in Punta Estrada, a privileged natural area outside of busy Puerto Rico Ayora Town. You can kayak, paddleboard around the bay, breath-work, and snorkel. You will have direct access from a private dock.
Yoga Bay is a 5-minute walk from "Playa de Alemanes" and "Las Grietas," one of the most charming places in the Galapagos Islands. This is a place to relax, walk the beautiful oceanside, turn your gaze to the beautiful heavens, and admire nature.
You will be served three delicious and nutritious meals daily as well as water, tea, and coffee throughout the day included in the price.
Yoga Revista seeks to reduce CO2 emissions, so meat will not be offered on the menu. Most meals will be prepared with fresh, locally sourced products from agroecological farms. This includes freshly roasted coffee, herbal teas, and fruit juices from passionfruit, papaya, guanabana, and coconut.
They believe and encourage a plant-based diet so meals at the lodge will be vegetarian and vegan versions of traditional Ecuadorian dishes. Some meals will be in town, where you can try the local seafood or stick with the veggie options while the bar is always at your service to order exotic fruits and organic drinks.
Fruits, water, and tea are always available.
