This 50-hour Philosophy module invites you to explore the rich, often-overlooked philosophical roots of yoga. Far beyond physical postures, yoga is a living wisdom tradition that offers tools to better understand yourself and the world around you.
YogaUnion has partnered with many local homestays within the ricefield area. The homestays are carefully selected as YogaUnion's official partners and specialize in accommodating and hosting students of YogaUnion.
The shala, accommodation, and restaurant are located in the luscious rice fields, where you can enjoy the peaceful surroundings whilst being at one with nature. The location is not accessible by cars; therefore, only walking, bicycles, and motorbikes are welcome. All rooms are of a similar standard, are designed in contemporary and authentic Balinese architecture and aesthetics.
During your stay, you will get free Wi-Fi, hot water, private toilets, a cleaning service, and fresh towels.

After feeling unfulfilled in her life, Aakanksha found meaning and purpose through Yoga Philosophy. Since becoming a 500 RYT, she has been teaching Hatha, Restorative, Vinyasa, and Yin Yoga, specializing in Pranayama, and majorly focusing on adopting Yogic Philosophy in all her teachings.

After graduating from a law school, Aakanksha decided to go on a journey to finding a deeper meaning and purpose in life. Since finding yoga, she has been able to to find balance and inner peace and decided to dedicate herself to translating her experience and passion into becoming a yoga teacher. After becoming a 500RYT she has been teaching Hatha and Vinyasa yoga, Therapeutic, Restorative and Yin yoga back home in India. Aakanksha’s passion lies in the traditional practices of meditation, pranayama and the teaching of yoga philosophy thus has joined YogaUnion as a philosophy headteacher.

Sundays are completely free, allowing for exciting day trips into the stunning tropical nature. It will be an amazing opportunity to be part of life in Bali. The great island of Bali offers a variety of breathtaking excursions. Bali is located just south of the equator and is one of the 17000 islands of Indonesia. It features lush tropical vegetation, big volcano mountains, and countless beaches with big waves and coral reefs.
You can enjoy surfing in the famous waves of Bali. Other popular beach activities include stand-up paddling, snorkeling, diving, or just enjoying your free time in the sun. The nearby mountains invite for a sunrise volcano tour, hikes to paradise waterfalls, downhill biking, as well as visits to tropical jungle farms, producing cacao, vanilla, coffee, mangoes, and much more.
Ubud is famous for its artistic wood carving and stonework, featuring picturesque temples, art and fashion galleries, colorful markets, and exclusive health food dining, as well as stylish spa resorts with tropical swimming pools to unwind. Please book your flight to arrive at Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS). Airport transfer is not included in the price. Transfer from and to this airport is available by YogaUnion's local partners upon request. The airport is a one-hour taxi ride away from the venue in Ubud.
Cars are not allowed on the rice field path on the way to the premises, which is accessible only on foot or by scooters/motorcycles. The drivers will assist you with your transportation and luggage, should you book the transport with YogaUnion. The rice field path is the main "street" of the area, and all of the students’ accommodation, the shala, and the restaurant are located there. The neighborhood is peaceful and serene, YogaUnion therefore kindly asks that you’re mindful of this.
