Yoga teacher training course at Diya Yoga is designed to keep in mind a broader view of yoga including philosophy, meditation, anatomy, kriya, and the art of teaching. The main focus is not just creating teachers but to imbibe yoga in your daily life. This course is designed as per yoga alliance guidelines, You do not need any prior qualification for the course. After this course, you will know what is your style and your way. You will be ready to teach yoga anywhere in the world. You will receive a certificate of completion and eligible to register with Yoga Alliance USA as registered yoga teachers.

Diya Yoga provides both private and shared rooms with attached bathroom. The rooms are near to a river and there is a hall on the third floor with the view of hills, lake, and river. The beach is four minutes walk from the accommodation. The restaurant is located on the beach, thus, breakfast and lunch will be served at the beach so one can have a swim in the ocean during breakfast and lunch breaks.

Program

Through this course, Diya Yoga supports individuality, guiding you to give a personal touch to the class during training. This yoga teacher training is very flexible and will not force any dogmatic ideas or beliefs to you. After completing the course, you will receive a certificate of completion and eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as a 200-hour yoga teacher training certificate. Which makes you eligible to work anywhere in the world as a yoga trainer.

Diya Yoga also supports the students who studied Hatha yoga teacher training to assist in courses if they like to practice more. During this course, the student will start Hatha yoga as the basic yoga training, Diya Yoga will be also teaching Vinyasa, Sivananda, basics of Ashtanga, Restorative, and Yin yoga. You will learn yoga asanas, philosophy, anatomy, meditation, the art of teaching, and methodology. Each class will be about an hour or an hour and a half.

Asana

During the yoga teacher training course, the main focus is on different styles of yoga and asanas. You will aim to practice with mindfulness of alignment early in the morning. To have balance into the physical body, looking at personal anatomy, and observing individual practice, you will be given supporting input to improve the asana poses with right postures. You will be bringing awareness to the pose and using the power of gravity, making it more beneficial for healthy living.

Pranayama

Breathing is life. You will be working on different pranayama practices, relaxing the muscle of the respiratory system, supplying oxygen to all the body parts and mind, and creating a right way of breathing for physical and mental and energy body health. It is also important to have the right breathing during asana practice.

Philosophy

Diya Yoga is a non-dogmatic yoga school. Starting from yogic anatomy (charkra, Nadi, etc), Diya Yoga teaches 8 limbs of yoga Sutras by Patanjali, with history of yoga. How it is integrated into the Indian culture. It's more like discussion and teaching on the philosophy of yoga, explaining three gunas, and wisdom of Bhagavad Gita with everyone having freedom on sharing the individual point of view towards yoga. It is basically implementing yoga not only on the mat but also in your daily life for balanced and healthy living.

Meditation

During this course, you will have classes on different meditations as passive and active. Meditation not only helps you improve your breathing pattern but also helps you be patient and calm in your lives. You will be given training on active, passive, and analytic meditation, encouraging everyone to try every kind of meditation and then decide what is right for an individual to be used in daily life.

Anatomy

During the course, you will learn the physiology and anatomy of asana, understanding how the poses help to certain anatomy of the body, such as different body parts, learn how different stretch happens in each asana, and how it affects your body. This anatomy training will make you mindful of your body parts without dissecting them. It will give you a better understanding of your body and your body parts so that you will start living a better life.

Yogic anatomy

In the yogic anatomy training, you will be taught how to understand your body and how to attain control over your body parts. This training will help you understand the energy of your body, detailed explanation of Chakras, Nadis, and Koshas where practical examples and experience are shown. There are kinds of meditation where you can work on your yogic anatomy.

Art of teaching

In the training methodology, you will be encouraged to observe the responsibilities of a yoga teacher. The teacher will explain ethics, values, and encourage you to see how to involve everyone during the class, grow interested amongst them, and how to take care of everyone. The teacher will guide you through the steps to set up a yoga business and what mistakes should be avoided while setting it up.

Practicum

During the practicum, you will learn to teach each other in small groups of asana class under the observation of the teacher, so your fear of teaching will disappear during the yoga teacher training. As practice makes a man perfect, your practice will start at the school itself. This will boost your confidence and makes you ready to give training or classes by the end of the yoga teacher training course.

Alignment

This is a very important subject where you will be explained about each asana. Details will be given about many kinds of adjustments including when to have verbal or physical adjustment, where to focus during the class, how to deal with a student who has physical pain, and what kind of pain has to be completely avoided. These important aspects will be thoroughly taught in this subject.
