This Yin and Restorative Yoga Teacher Training will focus on hands-on, anatomical, structural, and energetic based practices for restoration of the body mind. Blending Buddhist Concepts with Five Elements and the Eight Limbs of Yoga, the magnificent island mountain range of Mallorca will serve as your home for the week. The purpose of retreat and training life is deepening the understanding of your practice through intensive contemplation and somatic integration into one's system and stream, in an quiet place. Withdrawn to unfurl the most potent places in the self, undisturbed by normative patterns, the mind has the opportunity to turn inward and the body explores the energetics of the inner world.

Tramuntana Flow is a retreat centre that brings together the best yoga facilities and beautiful accommodations in a peaceful environment that helps to restore the mind-body-soul balance through yoga, meditation and nutrition. TRAMUNTANA FLOW owes its name to the magnificent mountain range in Mallorca, the spectacular views of which can be contemplated from the entire property. Located in the beautiful village of Sa Cabaneta in Mallorca, only 15 min from Palma, Tramuntana Flow consists of several outbuildings on an 8000 m² parcel of land. The property is in the old part of the village on the main street. The front garden invites you into the peacefulness of the centre.

Program

Delve into a rich and robust restorative practice to increase vitality and surrender to your system’s innate wisdom and explore the five elements from a traditional Chinese medicine background.

Earth

Anatomical and physiological principles, directions of spine, and joint actions. Individual informed architecture: pelvis and femur. Root chakra, abundant nourishment, nurturing self, sustenance and sustainability, reciprocal inhibition in Yin asana, digestion and spleen function, the belly brain, spinal flexion and forward folds, balanced give and receive, and Hara.

Water

Neuro-immunologic importance of rest, sleep vs rest, adaptive and innate immunity, restorative yoga, essentiality, replenishment and kidney function, creativity, and quietude, reallocation of internal reserves and resources, equanimity, excretion, psoas and pelvis anatomy, sacrum, ilium, nutation, axial rotations- spinal twists, fear, overwhelm, stress, trauma, and resiliency.

Fire
