Tantra teaches you that creativity is a vital part of life. Everybody is conceived as an artist, and the seed of art is waiting inside of you to be awakened. The only experience you need is life itself.
During this course the base of Tantra knowledge is kept in which creativity is used as a tool of liberation so that through the use of different art techniques we will get in contact with our inner self, release emotions and use arts as a meditation itself.
65% of the course content is focused on tantra yoga, pranayama, chakras and meditation.
Kaula Tantra Yoga is rooted in Uttara Shaivism, or Kashmiri Shaivism, one of six Śiva traditions. Students approach the asanas from a place of relaxation, care, and love for themselves.
This yoga series is practised in a slow and flowing manner to build patience and awareness. Each asana is held gently for a period of time to allow students to relax into the posture. This way, each individual finds their own unique way of expressing the asanas without the pressure of competing or ‘performing perfectly’.
Over time, students learn to meditate in the postures to connect with the Divine. This yoga specifically cultures the diaphragms and balances every area of life, including sexuality.
Please note that classes do not involve nudity or sexual contact.
In some classes, students also will have the time to live the practice with the support and emphasis of a partner and applying the tantric philosophy tools in it.
Through the tantra teachings students learn about the energetic exchange between Shiva and Shakti, the two polarities, and how to integrate sexual energy into their yoga exploration.
Once per week you will work with chakras through the Kundalini Yoga experience. This kind of yoga shows us the opposite way of practice if compared with tantra yoga and helps students understanding the difference between the various approaches to the Yoga discipline.
Meditation is basic in the Tantra Yoga practice. Students will learn how many things involve this practice which seems so simple. We will see different approaches to meditation as a tool for you to share when people have not experience with it.
35% of the course is dedicated to the Art Classes and Durga's Tiger School for Tantra Yoga Shamanism will offer two different programs in May and June.
The May one will be held by Nicolas Cambas and Magdalena Haftner, The one starting in June will be held by Marcela Camacho and Magdalena Haftner. The arts program for the course starting in May will be the ritual through the elements and theater tools
What’s the purpose of art? And of Shamanism? The answer is opened for each one. In this course art is conceived as the main tool for a life with purpose. And shamanism speaks about the purpose of life. Art and shamanism are two sides of the same coin.
In order to transform your lives into experiences with meaning, you need to let go the outside structures that are imposed on you, and understand that Life is a creative process. Nobody else than You is the creator of our own reality, the Shaman of yourselves. Art gives you the tools to go through life with beauty, creativity, wisdom, playfulness, and above all Presence.
When you are present you transform the ordinary into extra-ordinary. Life is becoming a conscious creation, in other words, a ritual. In this course you will develop deeper views on life, relationships, communication, self awareness, creation.
In this course you are going to work with different disciplines such as theater, literature, clowning, voice work, energetic body work, meditation among others.
And you will have the opportunity to experience some local rituals:
In this ancient shamanic ceremony you create your intent for your Teacher Training and reconnect with nature, spirit, and your centered self. It helps students leave old weights behind them and open the door with their fellow yogis to new experiences. Each student receives a Limpia, an energy cleansing ritual made with local medicinal plants, made by a native healer woman from our mountain, the Ilaló.
Movement is a way to explore the body in motion, movement is a way to deconstruct and discover creative, playful and expressive sides of yourself in your own dance and quietness.
Alone and with others. Dance not as something to show but rather as a way to let emotions and energy flow through your vehicle and keep it opened, light, flexible and playful.
Movement is a practice that sometimes we consider the counterpart of Meditation, and as such it arrives to the same point: The present moment. The quality of being present through movement or music, or any kind of performance in art we call Improvisation. Improvisation is playing with presence. An this doesn’t mean doing just anything. Above all it means listening, sensing, sometimes not doing at all. In order to help us understand this dynamics, we use certain structures or scores. Structures for improvisation are a huge way of raising consciousness in new ways of doing , relating and communicating. In art and life.
Techniques used in this part of the course: personal approaches to contact improvisation, body somatic, viewpoints, instant composition.
The world is created and constantly creating itself by stories.

We get to know the technique of improvising stories and share them with or without words, in a solo and a collective creation. You free yourselves from your fears of not being “good enough” and explore the freedom when we do not have to take our emotions too serious, but can let them flow through expression.

Work with hands, play with the tactile senses, bringing material alive with your own breathe and manipulation by movement, bringing the internal movement into external, creation of simple puppets made of paper, moving them alone and with the group. I connect with the magic of life.

The focus will be on the practical invention and exploration of a self-created figure: the basic energy and the rhythm, the breath, the movement, the habits, the desires, the fears, the temperament, and the emotions towards the search for new bodies inspired by the cultural heritage, placed in different social situations.
The mask doesn’t cover yourself; here, it will bring your higher self alive. You will discover how to share and show these processes with an audience. You will enter then, in the magic and secret world of the mask to discover the bodies that sleep in each of you, strengthening the individual and collective memory.

You will discover the difference between action which needs a purpose and movement that doesn’t necessarily have, getting into the field rituality. This workshop will support the process of the mask creation which includes finding a purpose and putting it into the visible. As a group we will be aware of the individual process of each one being able to sustain and let us sustain, living a profound process of healing and reunion with our roots.
