Eastover offers spacious workshop and program rooms with multiple meeting and studio facilities for teachers, groups, company retreats, and trainings. The estate is designed around an evocative “summer cottage” to immerse you in a contemplative and holistic environment from the moment you enter its grounds: from its courtyards and terraces overlooking English and Japanese gardens, to its sun-drenched terrace café and its inviting mix of manicured lawns and meadows, woodland trails and breathtaking views of the Berkshire Mountains.

Eastover offers a wide variety of spacious and comfortable overnight accommodations to fit everyone’s budget, from rustic, to contemporary to luxurious. All of Eastover’s rooms are well appointed and designed for guests attending retreats and holistic workshops. It has approximately 20 private or couples rooms, the rest being shared. The bedrooms in the mansion are furnished with the concept of simple lines and a sense of spaciousness, placing you in an uncluttered and liberating space.

The guest rooms are simple, well-appointed bedrooms with private baths. Many of these rooms are adjoining, which is very accommodating for families and friends. The most luxurious rooms are located in the mansion, the spacious 100-year old main house that is the jewel among all of the estate buildings.

Each of a limited number of mansion guest rooms has been carefully renovated to provide the amenities of the best contemporary hotel brands while preserving the simple, beautiful lines of the original architecture. The furnishings have been carefully selected to create an uncluttered, elegant sense of tranquility. The range of room styles and amenities includes: ranch, east colonial, west colonial, South gables, the bunkers, and the mansion.

The universal healing Tao basic level I is a week-long training for beginners and intermediate-level practitioners, and for those desiring a review of first essentials. Led by Qigong grandmaster Mantak Chia ad Lee Holden, the week is devoted to reviewing and mastering the healing arts of microcosmic orbit, six healing sounds, cosmic inner smile, chi self-message, six directions, and iron shirt chi kung I.

Iron shirt chi kung I

Do chi breathing and rooting to ground while unifying and strengthening bone structure alignment. Circulate the forces of Earth and the universe.

Inner smile

Use the power of smiling to activate the relaxation response in the parasympathetic nervous system. Get rid of negative emotions and rebalance the positive ones. The inner smile is one of the most simple and powerful tools for healing.

Six healing sounds

Each organ stores parts of the primordial force and negative emotions. The special sound for each of the organs, the special healing color, positive emotion, and special position for each sound - all of these will help restore you back to good health and will help connect you to the primordial force.

Microcosmic orbit

Opening the chi flow (the body's life force energy) in the energy pathways from the perineum (the area between the sexual organs and anus) up the spine, through the head and back down the front side of the orbit will help activate the orbiting forces of the solar system and the universe. This will draw in more primordial force from the Earth through the soles of the feet up to the spine, and from the universe in through the crown to combine in the lower tan tien (abdominal area), the heart, and the brain.

Sexual alchemy (healing love)

Learn how to cultivate, circulate, and store sexual energy. Men will learn how to control ejaculation and transform the sexual energy into chi (life force), which in turn transforms into spirit force. Women will learn how to control menstruation and transform the blood into chi, and likewise transform it into spirit force.

Testimonials

  • Review by Jill P. from Maryland, U.S.A.

"My husband and I just attended a lovely weekend workshop at Eastover. The grounds were stunning, the accommodations were super comfortable (to the point of luxury!) and the exemplary Eastover staff graciously sought to serve all of our needs. The workshop which focused on the healing modalities of Eastern Medicine included many excellent classes including Sheng Zhen gong classes taught by Master Li. Needless to say we are returning home refreshed and with open hearts!! Thanks Eastover!!"
