Standard rooms

There are eight standard rooms of which five of them come with twin beds. The standard rooms overlook the rice fields terraces and some face the spring fed stream.

Deluxe rooms

There are 22 deluxe rooms of which 12 come with twin beds. These rooms offer a view of the rice field, or swimming pool.

Get to know your authentic self. Come as you are, take off your mask or make up. There is no one better to be than your true self. This training is not about ego building, competition, or comparison. The team offers continuous support and encouragement to each student, which helps to bring out the best in you that assists to build yourself up with confidence, self-esteem, and inner strength which is transmitted on and off the yoga mat.

Enhance your inner strength increase your concentration, focus, and discipline with a 3.5-hour daily practice. A mixture of asana, pranayama, mantra, kriyas, bandhas, and mudras. Many gifts come from daily practice that benefits your nervous system and increases your vitality in short, makes life feel balanced and complete. In learning to teach yoga, one must first discover ones self which blossoms through having a regular personal practice.

The first day of each training will open with a traditional Balinese ceremony. Throughout the training, you will also connect with rhythm of the moon cycles offering new and full moon ceremonies based on the North American Indian ceremonies. Understand a deeper connection to the elements of nature and the great spirit through the philosophy of yoga which assists in feeding your spiritual body.

This training offers you the opportunity to deeply understand yourself and develop concentration, focus, and confidence through a continuing practice and teaching of yoga. Learning to teach yoga, one must first discover ones self. The information that are presented go far beyond the asana poses, unveiling yoga as a way of life. Through the integration of breath, mantra, bandhas, mudras, along with pranayama, the practice of asana is deeply enhanced.

This training is a shared offering from the wisdom and experience of the diverse teachers. The team infuses their teachings with passion from their years of practice and continuous study. In preparing for this training, you are more concerned with the flexibility of your mind and the open-heartedness of your spirit, because with ongoing practice the body naturally becomes flexible and subtle.

An offering to you

Yoga is a gift to yourself. It assists in awaking consciousness and promotes a balanced mind, body, and spirit. Through incorporating the practices of pranayama, meditation, mantras, asana, and integrating the yoga philosophy into your life as it is an offering to yourself and spirit which is nourishment for your soul.

The yogic path is a self-healing and evolving journey of transformation which starts from the inside out helping you to feel and look better. As you go deeper into the yogic teachings and practice, the gifts increase prana (life force energy) and promote more clarity, trust, and confidence. Assisting you to embrace an intimate connection to the infinite comic body, transcending feelings of separateness into oneness.

Beyond yoga

In addition to studying yoga asanas, there will also be an emphasis upon pranayama (yogic breathing) techniques that help to direct the breath control and encourage a peaceful mind and increased meditative state. There will also be more time with Nada yoga (the yoga of sound), which is interwoven with the helps to deepen the breath awareness.

The asana

A combination of Hatha, Yin, Kundalini, and Vinyasa. Specialty classes include, Acro, Prenatal, and Kids yoga. The methodology includes a detail break down of each pose covering the five main categories of standing poses, forward bends, backbends, twists, and inversions; and how to safely go into and out of each pose, adjustments, modifications, foundation, alignment, symmetry, benefits, and contraindications.

Finding your own path

Various types of asana will be offered so you can personally reflect what is the style that best fits your own persona. Each time you come to the mat, youre not the same person as you were the day before, each moment you are changing, new cells are being created, and dying, sometimes you might have over worked too much the day before which reflects in your body and how you respond to your body in each moment with authenticity and integrity. Deepening your ability to listen your body in your own self-practice. After listening to your inner guru (teacher), then it becomes the place where you transmit this to others when teaching a class.

Nada yoga

The practice of Nada yoga assists you to become more aware through the aspect of listening, initially externally and eventually internally. When you cultivate a deeper awareness to conscious listening, your inner chatter slowly starts to dissolve, which promotes inner peace. A peaceful mind is a place where joy and contentment naturally arise. Sound is intimately connected with your breath as both aspects are used to bring any one into the present moment.

Feeling Soul Good offers an excursion to the Sacred Water Temple. Bali is known for there devotion to ceremony and ritual. There is no place like it in the world and this energy is felt throughout the island of Bali. During the training, there will be two excursions, one to the water temple and the other to the go to the beach.

The venue is Bhanuswari Resort and Spa, a quiet resort about 20 minutes from Ubud surrounded by rice fields, trees, and nature. There are two swimming pools and two choices of room accommodations, standard and deluxe. The open air yoga hall promotes the support and nourishment of the elements of mother nature.

Feeling Soul Good provides both breakfast and lunch throughout the course, excluding the day off. This menu is raw yet thats not the choice of each individual. Feeling Soul Good promotes healthy eating which includes lots of fresh salads and the natural electrolytes of a fresh coconut. Both meals will be vegetarian options.

Breakfast is a rotating menu which includes a mix of western and local cuisine. One fresh coconut for each student. Lunch is also a mixture of local and international cuisine that includes dishes of salad, soup, vege sushi, curry, dhal, dips, pizza, steamed mix vegetable, pasta, rice, wraps, and local Indonesian meals.

    Learned more than I expected

    CONS Cons: There is nothing to say about the training itself. Just the housekeeping cleaned up the room in different times a day and often during breaks of the training when I liked to study.

    PROS Pros: I booked this training because of it's description. It seemed to me getting more out of it as of other teacher trainings. And it was a great decision! I learned so much more than just asanas. I learned for life! Sequoia and her team are great teachers and also great supporter all the time. The food was good and the staff of the hotel did everything to make our stay perfect. The place near Ubud is a perfect place to do a Yoga Teacher Training! All in all I would do it again. I highly recommend to learn with Sequoia and her team!

    The best yoga teacher training around!

    CONS Cons: The food was ok but it was getting very old eating the same thing over and over again.

    PROS Pros: Sequoia is an amazing woman and teacher. Her two assistant teachers were also terrific! I couldn't have had a better education. The live music was a big bonus but everything was very well planned and we learned so much more than I had thought possible! I'm truly grateful and feel very confident as I am going out there being a teacher!

    Organizer response: Because of the lack of understanding regarding the food, and a few other situations. We won't be working with Aurovalley again. Our new venue owner has a huge heart and understanding to the importance of good food, and hospitality. It was nice to have you join us, Birgitta, as it would not have been the same without your presence. :-)

    "After reviewing scores of RYT programs offered in some of the coolest locations on the planet, Anne and I decided on the Feeling Soul Good program in Bali in April.     "Student of Feeling Soul Good teacher training, Bali, Indonesia 2016. As I approach the one year anniversary of when I completed my yoga teacher training with Feeling Soul Good, I am thinking a lot about all of the ways it has positively impacted my life both daily and also on a very deep level. Feeling Soul Good provided me with a well-rounded understanding of yogic principles, and how we can apply these in our daily lives. Prior to completing this training, I was looking for a “quick fix” to happiness. I thought to myself if I could just do “x, y, and z,” then I can be happy and coast through the rest of my life in blissful unawareness. But that’s not how life works. “Sthira-sukham asanam,” roughly translated as finding the balance of “effortless effort in our postures,” is one of the yoga sutras by Patanjali that our teacher, Stephan, often quoted in training. Life is a balance: a balance of discipline and letting go, a balance of day and night, of darkness and light, of feminine and masculine. Yoga means “union,” and teaches us to bring balance into all areas of our lives, through the practices of the asanas (yoga postures) but also through the other yogic principles. Yoga has transformed my relationship with myself, with my friends and family, and with nature. I have learned to integrate myself more in my physical environment, to connect with nature in order to connect to my true self. My relationship with food has transformed, and I am now able to eat more with mindfulness and appreciation of food, rather than being disconnected from the substance that provides me with life and energy. I could go on and on, but the bottom line is this: yoga has transformed my life for the better in every way. Even if you are not planning on teaching yoga yourself, Feeling Soul Good will provide you with the tools you need to live a happier, more fulfilling life.
