The yoga shala is surrounded by the healing elements of mother nature, alongside the trees and near the sea. This yoga training offers you the opportunity to know your authentic self. Come as you are and take off your mask or make up. There is no one better to be than your true self. This 200-hour yoga training is not about ego building, competition or comparison.

During the training course, you will be staying at Devarya Wellness Centre, a newly built retreat center which provides the uttermost care in decor, comfort and hospitality. In between your classes you can dip in the ozone pool, or on your lunch break take advantage of your the private shuttle bus to the beach to take a quick break between classes. Organic food is grown on the land and a wide variety of vegetarian cuisine is offered two times per day.

Each room available in the training course has twin beds, a patio, 24-hour hot water and bathtub. The rooms are spacious, of 500 square feet, which provides lots of space for each person. Single rooms are available for an additional cost.

Enhance your inner strength and increase your concentration, focus and discipline with a 3.5 hour daily practice using a mixture of asana, pranayama, mantra, kriyas, bandhas and mudras. To teach yoga, one must first discover ones self, which blossoms through having a regular personal practice.

The yogic path is a self-healing and evolving journey of transformation, which starts from the inside out helps you to feel more vibrant from the inside out. As you dive deep into the teachings and practice of yoga, the gifts come in many forms and include increased prana (life force energy), more clarity, better digestion, inner trust and intuition. This training assists you to embrace an intimate connection to the infinite cosmic body, transcending feelings of separateness into oneness.

Details of topics covered

Asana methodology

A detailed breakdown of each pose and an overview of the five main categories of postures: standing poses, forward bends, backbends, twists, and inversions. Youll explore how to safely go into and out of each pose, offering proper adjustments, modifications, foundation, alignment, and symmetry, as well as the benefits and contraindications for each asana.

Teaching practice

Teaching each other begins in the first week. The practice of teaching begins slowly with teaching one-on-one and then gradually builds to teach small groups for the final practicum. A lot of time is given to teaching practice to help build confidence, self-esteem, and allow the teachings to be fully integrated.

Specialty asana classes

These classes are usually offered on Sundays (typically our more relaxed, fun-filled day). Acro yoga helps to build trust as it is working with a partner. Kids yoga class is for both adults and children as it brings out the inner child in the adult and initiates lots of laughter and play for people of all ages. Meanwhile Prenatal yoga brings an understanding to some of the basic poses used for pregnant women.

Meditation

There are many different styles and ways to meditate. You will explore three different methods, so you may find the best fit for you.

Yoga philosophy

You explore the two most important ancient texts: The Yoga Sutras and The Bhagavad Gita.

Physical and subtle anatomy

You will learn how various systems of the body connect with various movements and poses. Discover how the bones, muscles and joints are connected with various asanas. The subtle anatomy is an introduction to the unseen bodies of the chakras system. Discover how the chakras function without physical and spiritual bodies and how the chakras affect our subconscious.

Natural healing and nutrition

Let they food be thy medicine, exploring healthy eating habits and the use of food in healing.

Nada yoga

Nada is a Sanskrit word that means sound. Though the practice of Nada yoga is not one specific practice it covers a wide range of practical exercises. Some practices include vocal play, singing, sounding the Indian scales and mantras. Part of Nada yoga is learning to fine-tune your ability to listen to audible and inaudible sounds, which is an aspect of subtle vibration.

Benefits of Nada yoga

The practice of Nada yoga assists you to become more aware through the aspect of listening, initially externally and eventually internally. When you cultivate a deeper awareness to conscious listening, your inner chatter slowly starts to dissolve which promotes inner peace. It is in a peaceful mind where joy and contentment naturally arise.

Sound is intimately connected with your breath, as both aspects are used to bring you into the present moment.

Certification

Certificates are presented to trainees on the basis of performance and attendance throughout the training. You are required to achieve 75% pass rates in exams and assessments. If you fail in any part of the training re-takes will be offered. Most experience shows that all students who apply themselves to the best of their ability pass. However in the unlikely event that a student has not grasped the fundamentals of teaching or cannot teach in a safe and effective way Feeling Soul Good reserves the right to maintain its teaching standards. In cases where the standard has not been met further training recommended will be added to the certificate.
