Meditation (dhyana)

Once you stabilize your posture through asana, cleansing your energy through Pranayama, and controlling your senses through Pratyahara you will be able to focus your mind. Meditation starts with concentration practices and with the 100-hour YTTC, you will learn great techniques to master the basics by which you can develop a high-level concentration and awareness.

With this 2-week program, you will learn basic to intermediate levels meditation preparations and techniques. Each day you will get a little more understanding of how to perform them and experience their benefits.

Yoga Nidra (sleep awareness / psychic sleep) is a journey from a conscious to a superconscious state of awareness. All animals, birds, insects, humans sleep in the same way, and the experience of sleep also is the same. This state brings oneness and there is a great secret behind all of it. Yogi Vishnu is one of the most famous yoga Nidra teachers. His proven techniques have been practiced for a long time by the sages. Yoga cleansing (shatkarma)

The body produces toxins at all times and we need to cleanse our bodies accordingly. Proper ablution, urination, cleaning nostrils, ears, eyes, skin, tongue, and other organs are very important for good health. These are physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual cleansing. In the beginning, yoga practitioners should follow six practices (Sat-Karma) by which they can unblock the channels for higher experiences. Yogi Vishnu learned the secrets of Yoga philosophy from his great Master Swami Veda by spending significant time with him. His authentic teachings will be taught by our teachers. Yoga philosophy does not only exist in Yoga Sutra. There are hundreds of Yogic texts and we will introduce you few important ones such as; Yoga Sutra, Bhagawat Geeta, and Upanishad.

Yoga therapy

Yoga is a holistic science that nurtures the body, mind, and soul. It has natural healing energy by which one can remain healthy and if there is any illness, it helps the body heal naturally. You will be learning the basics of Yoga Therapy in the classes. The teachers will give instructions on the therapeutic value of respective practices during the asana, pranayama, meditation, and anatomy classes. There will be no specific class for it.

Ayurveda

Ayurveda is the sister science of yoga. It believes that the body is made of five elements that create three Doshas; Kapha, Vata, and Pitta. Daily schedule

Each class is important for you to grow. Not only learning from your teachers or books but by living properly in our school and following the schedule will also teach you so much. You may have different habits in your daily life but by surrendering to the whole program, you will have a greater chance for change which you will see the difference in the end. You will start seeing the world with a new set of eyes.

All classes are mandatory. Only in the case of an emergency or illness, you can take leave with the permission of the respected teachers. Uninformed leaves will not be accepted and this will effect student's monthly performance.

Code of conduct for students

Yogic discipline and a recommended code of conduct are expected from all the students. World Peace Yoga School has the following disciplinary rules for the participants.

  • Smoking and alcohol are strictly prohibited in the school.
  • Inform the kitchen manager in advance if you have a fast on any day to avoid food wastage.
  • Always maintain discipline within the premises and be respectful to the teachers by obeying all the rules.
  • Maintain punctuality and arrive on time for the classes - latecomers will not be permitted to join sessions.
  • Return books, maps, or any goods which you might have borrowed from our institution.
  • World Peace Yoga School offers accommodation only for its students who join the yoga courses, not to friends or family.
  • Complete attendance is compulsory in all the scheduled programs of World Peace Yoga School.

Excursions

On your free day

World Peace Yoga School arranges excursion tours every Sunday which is included in your course fees. Only breakfast is provided on Sundays so that you can enjoy lunch and dinner outdoors at the amazing local restaurants. Every Thursday you study all the classes at the school until lunchtime and in the afternoon you visit different places as the study tour such as; different ashrams, temples, herbal gardens, Ganga Beach Yoga, etc.

  • Once you get to Laxman Jhula Bridge, cross it and make a right at Mango Tree Guesthouse.
  • You’ll pass many shops, cafes, and stores on your way to the school.
