Students who complete the training are eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher (RPYT®).

What is Prenatal yoga?

Prenatal yoga is a type of yoga that is specifically tailored to meet the needs of pregnant women. It aims to help them maintain their physical and emotional well-being throughout their pregnancy. Prenatal yoga classes involve practicing modified yoga poses, breathing techniques, and meditation practices that are safe and appropriate for pregnant women. The benefits of practicing prenatal yoga include improved flexibility, strength, and balance, as well as reduced stress and anxiety.

Additionally, it can help pregnant women prepare for childbirth by teaching them breathing and relaxation techniques that can be helpful during labor. Pregnant women must consult with their healthcare provider before starting any new exercise program, including prenatal yoga, to ensure that it is safe for both them and their babies.

Eligibility

  • Yoga experience: Participants should have a fundamental understanding of yoga and a consistent yoga practice of at least 6 months. Additionally, they should have experience practicing prenatal yoga or a keen interest in teaching prenatal yoga
  • Qualifications: While there are no specific academic requirements, candidates should have completed high school or hold an equivalent qualification
  • Language proficiency: Candidates need to have a good command of English, as the course materials and instruction will be provided in English
  • Physical health: As the course involves practical training and physical activity, participants should be in good physical health

It is essential to note that prenatal yoga teacher training is an intense program that demands full commitment and dedication from the participants. Individuals who enroll in the course should be prepared to invest the required time and effort to complete it successfully.

The course consists of 85 hours with 45 hours of in-person and 40 hours of online course videos. Each class is important for you to grow. Not only learning from your teachers or books but by living properly in the school and following the schedule will also teach you so much.

You may have different habits in your daily life but by surrendering to the whole program, you will have a greater chance for change and see the difference in the end. You will start seeing the world with a new set of eyes. All classes are mandatory. Only in the case of an emergency or illness, you can take leave with the permission of the respected teachers. Uninformed leaves will not be accepted and this will affect student's performance.

What is yogic diet?

A yogic diet is a plant-based diet that focuses on fresh, organic, whole foods with minimal processing and no additives, preservatives, or artificial sweeteners. It is based on the principles of Ayurveda, an ancient Indonesian system of holistic healing that emphasizes the connection between the mind, body, and spirit.

The diet consists of fruits, vegetables, grains, legumes, nuts, seeds, and herbs while avoiding meat, fish, poultry, eggs, onion, garlic, alcohol, and caffeine. Practicing yoga has additional benefits such as improved flexibility, strength, balance, and overall physical and mental well-being. It can also reduce stress and anxiety, improve sleep, and promote inner peace and harmony.
