This is a 7-day/6-night retreat in the South of France, filled with playful learning, inspiration, and relaxation. Each day is filled with yoga classes to advance your practice, a 90-minute workshop to inspire your teaching, and fun activities such as gentle hikes, picnics, town visits, massages, sauna, and swimming. You will also receive 25 Continuing Education hours from Yoga Alliance.

A fantastic retreat center

La Roane has been hosting yoga retreats for nearly 30 years. The property boasts 20 acres of woodland and includes many walks, an abundance of wildlife and fauna to discover, and plenty of onsite activities.

You will have unlimited access to an outdoor freshwater pool and sauna.

Beautiful accommodation

Three beautiful buildings make up the accommodation, comprising of private or twin rooms with plenty of bathrooms for everyone. Bathrooms are shared between two to four people.

The bedrooms are spacious and cozy, and there is a communal living room where you can indulge in fireside chats or read a good book.

The perfect yoga studio

The yoga studio is a bright room with a high ceiling, situated in a converted barn from the early 1900s. Plenty of yoga mats and props are available, and there is also an outdoor covered terrace.

Certifications

The course/hours count as Continuing Education hours for Registered Yoga Teachers (RYT®) only.

Led by seasoned retreat hosts and yoga teachers - Manouk Tideman and Jo Woollacott - this experience is an opportunity to deepen your knowledge and practice of yoga, whilst taking well-deserved time to rest and rejuvenate.

Daily yoga classes

These classes are designed to awaken and deepen your personal yoga practice. You will explore a wide range of poses, and particularly look at the benefits and intention behind each pose.

You will also challenge yourself with the opportunity to work on inversions and arm balances. Each class will consist of asana, pranayama, and meditation.

You will also experience deeply restorative classes, guided by Manouk who has studied directly with Judith Hanson Lasater.

Workshops:

Anatomy Clay Modelling

Learn anatomy by building it! You'll explore bones like the vertebrae and key muscles like the psoas using clay. This kinaesthetic approach is such a powerful way to really understand your body.

Peak Pose Sequencing Method

Discover how to plan a yoga class in just 15 minutes. They will share sequencing principles that are smart, adaptable, and save you hours of time. Advance your own practice, and attract more students because you know how to help them advance their practice.

Myofascial Releasing

Discover the fascinating world of fascia, and practice MFR techniques that you can add to your classes and to your life.

Hands-On Assists

The skin and nervous system develop from the same cells in the womb—touch has a profound effect. You'll explore how to use hands-on assists thoughtfully, with confidence and care.

Upside Down Playtime

Inversions are a beautiful way to shift perspective—whether energising or restorative. You'll practise different ways to go upside down safely and joyfully.

The Business of Retreats

Whether you want to run a workshop or a full retreat, Jo (who’s owned a retreat centre since 2015) and I (leading workshops and retreats since 2018) will share the lessons learned and show you how to get started.

Outside of the yoga classes and workshops, there are fun activities like local village excursions, massages, forest walks, and games night.

Excursions

Local market visit

On Sunday, you will head to the local market in Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val. You will have a chance to explore the town, grab a coffee at a local cafe, or stretch your legs through the cobbled streets.

River picnic

If the weather permits, the group will head to the riverside for a picnic and refreshing swim. The picnic will be prepared for you.

One of the most beautiful villages in France

Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val is located one hour from Toulouse and is ranked among the three most beautiful villages in France. It is often described as a magical medieval town. There is a local farmer's market every Sunday, which is part of the programme.

Participants will also enjoy a picnic by the river, with the opportunity for a refreshing swim (weather permitting). This yoga teacher retreat will take place at La Roane Retreat Centre, which offers a beautiful setting for the group's time together as they learn, relax, and immerse themselves in yoga.

Repas

Throughout the week our incredible chef will prepare the most delicious vegetarian meals for you. If there’s one thing all the participants of our retreats agree on its “Nothing beats the meals at La Roane. It’s like eating in a Michelin star restaurant!”

During your retreat, you’ll enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner, with plenty of opportunities for snacks and treats in between.

If you have any specific dietary requirements, don’t hesitate to get in touch so we can ensure your needs are taken care of.

You will be treated to a mouth-watering variety of meals. The food will be vegetarian, and is organic and locally sourced wherever possible.

Drinks and snacks are freely available throughout the day.

Buffet breakfast is a wide selection of porridge, cereals, home made jams, home made peanut butter, the neighbor’s bread, yogurts, seasonal fruit, local cheeses, honey produced at La Roane and sometimes eggs, croissants, or chia pudding.

Lunch and dinner

Lunch and dinner are served buffet style with a selection of freshly prepared hot and cold dishes, consisting of a mix of colors and flavors to enchant your palate.

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Toulouse-Blagnac Airport (TLS). The retreat center is just an hour drive away from this airport (63 kms). There are regular flights to Toulouse from most major European and UK airports. Airport pick-up and drop-off can be arranged (45 EUR for one-way).

Arrival by train

There is a free pick up service from the closest train station: Caussade (Tarn-Et-Garonne).
