The Yoga Garden at Gili Yoga is a sanctuary of peace in the heart of Gili Trawangan. The rooms are set in a tropical garden, surrounding the beautiful yoga shala so that you wake up and step straight into your morning practice.
All of the rooms are modern and charming with cleanliness and comfort being a top priority. The rooms all have air conditioning, hot and fresh water, Wi-Fi, satellite television, mini fridges, safety deposit boxes, and even blackout curtains to ensure deep and healing sleep.
The Yoga Garden is a beautiful blend of healing sanctuary with adventure base camp. The coconut wood yoga shala is spacious, light and open, and the 25-meter swimming pool is perfect for free diving training or swimming laps. The Yoga Garden is also just steps away from the beach for swimming, snorkeling, and lounging.
During this teacher training, the emphasis will be on Vinyasa Flow, though all practices are considered as paths of conscious evolution. You will delve deeply into asana, pranayama, and meditation during this training. You will also incorporate Hatha, Yin, and ecstatic dance so that you may find your way and share your authentic and unique voice as a teacher. You will be encouraged to step out of your comfort zone, explore new territory, and question limiting beliefs.
The classes will also be fun, expansive, and inclusive. This intensive training is not a beach holiday, but you will have plenty of free time. This will be a process, a journey, a challenge, and a reward. This training is not only designed for those who want to become teachers. Many students often join for the process, the opportunity to deepen their understanding of yoga and themselves.
You will find yourself naturally stepping into a teaching role or people may even start coming to you because they recognize that you have something that they are seeking- peace, devotion, and integrity. This 200-hours yoga teacher training will be a deep dive into self-study, embodied practice, and conscious community. The program lasts 28 days and there will be one full day off each week for you to explore the island, absorb all of the information, and integrate the practices. Please note that the schedule is just an example and is subject to change.
During this practices, you will study asanas, pranayama, meditation and mantra, analytical training in how to teach and practice the techniques, and guided practice of the techniques themselves.
The teaching methodology includes principles of demonstration, observation, assisting and correcting, instruction, teaching styles, qualities of a teacher, the student’s process of learning, and business aspects of teaching yoga.
The anatomy and physiology lessons include human physical anatomy and physiology, energy anatomy and physiology, and the study of the subject and application of its principles to yoga practice like benefits, contraindications, healthy movement, and patterns.
Yoga lifestyle lessons include the study of yoga philosophies, yoga lifestyle, and ethics for yoga teachers.
The practicum Includes practice teaching, receiving feedback, observing others teaching, and hearing and giving feedback. Also includes assisting students while someone else is teaching.
Electives include reading, self-practice, writing, and hours accumulated outside of teacher training hours as “non-contact” hours.

This teacher training will take place at the Yoga Garden at Gili Yoga in Gili Trawangan, Indonesia. Gili Trawangan is a small tropical island in the Indonesian archipelago just east of Bali and west of Lombok. “Gili” means island in Sasak, the local language from Lombok.
Gili Trawangan is the largest of the three Gili Islands. Ideal for both yoga and free diving. Gili Trawangan boasts spectacular weather, views, beaches, and abundant life above and below the water. With no motorized vehicles on the Gilis, you will enjoy a strong connection with nature and laid-back lifestyle.

During this teacher training, you will be served one daily breakfast offered as a buffet style and group meal. Breakfast options are vegan, gluten free, and heart-warming delicious.
The schedule will be long enough for you to have a break for lunch and dinner so that you may explore different options and relax during meal time.
You may eat where you like though is highly recommend that you honor yourself with your food choices during your training.
There is available a health conscious high vibe cafe onsite that offers healing food from raw to paleo to macrobiotic preferences.
During your free time, you may explore the island, relax by the pool at Gili Yoga, swim at the beach, or practice free diving.
Free dive Gili offers free diving courses from beginner to Instructor as well as individualized coaching programs. The international team of free diving Instructors are ambassadors of the sport and lifestyle. The instructors are all experienced, deep divers who are capable of helping you reach your goals, whether that is overcoming a fear of the ocean, spending longer on the reef, or diving to 80 meters.
