The Ashram Shanti Niketan is located on the Eastern side of Mallorca island, which is ideal for yoga practice. The world Shanti Niketan means the house of peace. The ashram set up is in a peaceful atmosphere in the nest of a natural typical Mallorcan village, away from distractions and pollution, and away enough from beach and crowd (7 minutes by car from Cala Millor and Porto Cristo with it "Coves del Drag").

The entire ashram is equipped with stone buildings, enough place to chill out, to meditate or to be in your own when you required. Our Mallorca ashram is not a luxurious place to sit back and relax, but it is a place for peace, harmony, joy, and happiness in the lap of mother nature.

Keeping in mind the best quality of teaching and service we have a capacity for 20 to 25 students to accommodate in our ashram in 2 different options which include stone rooms and glamping tent.

The rooms are comfortable, cozy, and will be decorated in a yogic way; glamping tents are eco-friendly, with natural eco-toilet and showers. The ashram area is near about 20.000 sq meters of land with a beautiful landscape full of pine, olive, lemon and many other trees which nestles various colorful birds, butterflies, owls, and much more.

The ashram is also a house for several small cute tortoise and rabbits who are naturally living there which consider being an auspicious symbol as per many oriental philosophies.

Certification

Students who complete their subsequent training are eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as Registered Yoga Teachers (RYT®).

In this 200 hours Vinyasa yoga teacher training, the main focus on Vinyasa flow (60%), the practice of the primary series of Ashtanga (20%), and restorative/yin (20%) to counterbalance the practice.

Through the practice of Vinyasa flow, students will experience the most popular and modern styles of yoga. The Vinyasa flow practice incorporates awareness of breath and movement which disciplines our mind, body, and soul.

Green Yoga International is keeping the essence of their multi-style course and integrating it into this new training. They will cover the most important aspect of yoga by building a bridge between east and west, between science and spirituality, between practice and teaching.

Vinyasa flow

  • Learn how to instruct professionally Vinyasa flow yoga classes of 60 minutes
  • Practice different sequences of Vinyasa yoga
  • Learn how to do safe adjustments and corrections during Vinyasa yoga class
  • Alignment is the key: study and break down each pose to truly understand the biomechanics of the asanas

200-hour program: curriculum

Green Yoga International has redefined a curriculum as per the international standards of Yoga Alliance USA and UK coupled with their own expertise in the field of yoga. The prime objective is to prepare the future teachers physically and spiritually ready to practice and teach by themselves. They will lay down the foundations to become a successful and well-rounded yoga teacher.

The main areas that are covered in the program will be classified into 5 modules: yoga teaching techniques, teaching methodology, and yogic lifestyle, philosophy, anatomy and physiology, and practice.

How to get there

Recommended Airports

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Palma de Mallorca Airport (PMI). The transfer from and to this airport is available at an additional cost of 80 EUR. As a special procedure, to avoid the use of public transport, Green Yoga International will organize a minibus on the day of arrival (Monday) and on the day of departure (Sunday).

  • There will be a pick up at 12 noon in Palma Estacion intermodal and another pick up at the Palma international airport at 12:30 noon
  • There will also be a drop on the last day around 9:00 am in the morning. The bus will also do 2 stops, one in Palma Estacion intermodal and another one in Palma international airport

This service will have a cost of 10 EUR per person to be paid directly on the bus.
