Hari Om Yoga Vidya School offers accommodation with excellent quality, assuring that you will have a pleasant and comfortable stay. During your retreat, you will be staying at a beautifully secluded retreat center situated in Rishikesh.

All of the rooms have beautiful views of the mountains or the village. There are 15 bedrooms, each one with ensuite bathroom to make your stay really comfortable.

Nowadays, many yoga schools are following paths that differ from what yoga really is. Sometimes yoga is misunderstood with body stretching, physical exercise or relaxing, but yoga has a lot more to offer. Hari Om Yoga Vidya School follows the tradition kept from thousands of years by sages from the Hymalayas. They are very proud of the quality of the teachers they have gathered for you.

All of them have an extensive background and expertise, but most important they give classes with purpose. Their main goal is not to teach you the right asana (position) but to look after your individual growth so that you can share it to your friends and family and later to your students. Hari Om Yoga Vidya School is a family with the goal of learn from the ancient tradition the ways for a happier and more meaningful life.

They love that all students spend as much time as possible with the teachers and stay in touch after the course ends. Everyone is invited to this courses even if you have no experience. Practicing is very important to become a competent teacher and it is always recommended that you have at least two years of experience before or after the course to start teaching groups.

After this course, you will have the certification of completion from Yoga Alliance. If you are an experienced student you will be able to become a yoga teacher if not; it's recommended that you keep practicing for a while until you feel confident to teach.

During this retreat, you will receive tours to The Himalayas: Kunjapuri Temple / Vashishta Cave tour / Neeklanth Temple

  • Kunjapuri Temple: The Kunjapuri temple can be seen on the top of the hill from Rishikesh town. There are many local devotees, who start their new year visiting the temples to receive the blessings of Goddess. Kunjapuri Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to the goddess Sati (the wife of Lord Shiva, before she took birth as Goddess Parvati). The Kunjapuri temple is located on the top of a Kunjapuri hill and is located about 27 KM from Rishikesh in the Tehri district of Uttarakhand, India.
  • Vashishta Cave: Vashistha Cave or Vashistha Gufa is an ancient cave where great Sage Vashistha meditated. As per Hindu mythology, Sage Vashistha was a manas Putra (human son) of Lord Brahma and one of the seven great sages (Saptarishi). Located at 25 km from Rishikesh in Badrinath road, Vashistha Cave is popular among visitors comes for deep meditation in Rishikesh. Vashistha Gufa has a Shivlinga in it and near the Vashistha Cave there a Swami Purshottamanand Ashram which manages the cave.
  • Neelkanth Mahadev Temple: Neelkanth Mahadev Temple, an ancient temple, is perched on a hill at a height of 1675 meters. Shiva Lingam is placed in the sanctum sanctorum; presiding deity of the temple is in phallic form. Lord Shiva is worshipped as Neelkanth or the God with Blue Throat. His throat turned blue because he consumed all the venom that was oozed during the Churning of Ocean.

Hari Om Yoga Vidya School offers 3 delicious vegetarian meals per day. Vegetables are collated from local farmers of the Himalayas. As you know vegetarian food and fresh fruits are a balanced diet for yoga practice. You can have tea during your breakfast. We strive to provide you clean, testy and sattvic food which will nourish your body as well as the mind.

Please be on time for the breakfast, lunch, and dinner. If you do not want to eat any day or any time because of some reason, please send the message four hours before to the kitchen people or reception so that we can manage it. Before you come to breakfast, lunch, and dinner clean your face, hands, and feet. Before you eat, please do silence meditation for one or two minutes, which will help to calm down the emotions and bring peace to the mind, so that you can enjoy the food. Avoid talking during your eating. Keep silence inside the dining hall which is part of yoga life.
