You don't have to worry about other people's internet connections. Your precious time won't be wasted. You get less blabla and more content! You can pause and rewind whenever and as many times as you please. And you will have access to the content after the training as well!

Downloadable podcasts are the second major component. You can listen to them on your way to work, on a relaxed walk or whenever and wherever it fits for you.

Additionally, Jess hosts weekly 90-minute Zoom calls which to answer all your questions. Since there are three different options available groups are small and you can choose the time that suits you best. In case you can't make it to any of the calls, Jess will send you a recording to make sure you don't miss anything.

To boost your learning curve and help you become an outstanding yoga teacher, we offer weekly empowerment reviews, lots of journaling exercises and teaching assignments as well as a number of other homework. Jess will give you valuable personal feedback on all of your teaching practices!

What is more, you will receive a paper copy of the training manual delivered to your doorstep - no matter where you live in the world. Your manual goes hand in hand with the course materials. It will not only guide you during the weeks of the training but also turn into a most valuable personal resource afterwards.

What you will learn

The topics of this 200-hour training are carefully selected and organized into a comprehensive and cohesive whole. They comply with and also go far above and beyond the requirements for a 200-hour YTT program.

First and foremost you will practice and learn how to teach the following three styles of yoga:

Vinyasa flow is a more dance-like choreographed style of yoga that focuses on fluid, seamless transitions between postures. These transitions are just as important as the poses themselves and are a way to explore yoga as a practice of meditative movement that ebbs and flows and eventually peaks. The focus is less on alignment and static holds, and more on creativity and fun.

Hatha yoga broadly covers any of the physical practices of yoga. This could mean practicing the postures, breathwork, cleansing practices for the organs and other systems of the body, energy work, and more. In the modern yoga studio, Hatha Yoga is presented as longer-holds (between 5 - 10 breaths) in the postures with a focus on refining the actions of the pose once you’re in it. We focus on active muscular engagement to provide stability and support, moving energy throughout the body for enhanced flow of prana and vitality, and taking the time to find, but also understand individualized alignment.

Yin yoga is based on the Chinese Meridian system and Daoist philosophy. It is a practice of passive, long-held stretches. Focusing on the connective tissues, such as the fascia, joints, ligaments, and tendons, this meditative practice is all about taking your time in the poses (anywhere from 30 seconds to up to around 10 minutes or more in a posture). The practice of Yin aims to lubricate the joints, create more freedom in the tissues, target specific organs for optimal health, and train the mind, simultaneously.

Besides learning to teach Vinyasa flow, Hatha, and Yin yoga, you will

  • learn more about yoga asanas than you ever thought possible
  • develop an in-depth understanding of yoga anatomy and biomechanics
  • learn how to sequence fun & creative yoga classes
  • learn how to give skillful assists
  • experiment with creative pose variations and modifications
  • get to know your true Self
  • identify your core values - what drives you and shapes who you are
  • develop and lock in a positive mindset
  • prepare yourself to run a successful yoga business
  • establish or expand your personal meditation practice
  • learn how to lead insightful meditation sessions
  • collect ideas for theming interesting yoga classes
  • trace the history of yoga from antiquity to the present day
  • dive deep into the key texts and concepts of yoga philosophy
  • learn the myths of Vishnu, Shiva, and other Hindu gods and goddesses
  • understand and learn to pronounce important Sanskrit words and phrases
  • learn the fundamental principles of Ayurveda - yoga's sister science
  • tap into your heart chakra through chanting mantra and kirtan
  • learn why the subtle body matters and how it relates to the physical body
