You must be able to speak and read English at a conversational level. You must be able to participate in a group learning experience and be willing to accept and provide feedback in an objective and constructive way.

How the training works

You will gain access to one week of foundational skills online course that you will access one month prior to the in-person training start date. This is part of the course syllabus and will be required to attain the full 300 hours. There are 24 hours of pre-recorded classes or lectures in total. After the online part of the training, you will come to Italy to join 29 days of in-person training. The in-person training begins on Sunday, September 18th. Check-in after 1:00 p.m. No training events are planned for this day, only arrive and check-in.

You will have a welcome dinner. It is not a bad idea to arrive in Italy at least a day early and acclimate a little to the time zone if you are coming from outside Europe. The training ends on Sunday, October 16th. You will have breakfast and assist with arrangements back to the airport. Afternoon or later flights should be planned. You are more than welcome to make other arrangements and continue onward to other Italian destinations.

You are also welcome to simply relax on the farm. The usual daily meals will be included on Sundays.

Course information

What level is the yoga practice?

You should have an established and consistent yoga practice. You do not need to be able to hold headstands, handstands, or do advanced poses. You do not even have to have previous experience teaching. However, this is teacher training that focuses on teaching skills: class sequencing, workshops, retreats, and presentations. Please show up with an open mind and be willing to practice these things.

You will be trained to

  • Teach workshops and masterclasses
  • Create sequences for Vinyasa, Hatha, Restorative, peak pose, chakras, anatomy, and many other scenarios
  • Lead retreats as you will create a retreat during this training
  • Practice and instruct advanced pranayama techniques
  • Teach yoga in presentation formats - philosophy and asana clinics

What to expect

  • Development of teaching skills that set you apart from other teachers in your field - a professionally focused training
  • A deep dive into pranayama and philosophy that will significantly enhance your personal practice, as well as your teaching methods
  • An immersive training experience where you will discover growth as a person, as a yogi, as a teacher, and develop life-long friendships with others also passionately on their path

This is a training experience unlike any others, designed for yoga teachers who are serious about teaching yoga as a profession.

Curriculum

In this course, you will up-level the skills that you developed in your 200-hour training. They will give you the tools to teach master classes and amazing private instruction to your students. You will be prepared to develop workshops and retreats and move beyond drop-in studio classes. You will be set on a path to one day lead your own teacher training.

Through the process of developing these teaching skills, your understanding of this course material will find its way into every aspect of your personal practice, and it will deepen significantly. As for the practice itself, you will go deeper into your practice than ever before. You will learn kriyas, advanced pranayama, learn to unlock advanced poses, meditation, mantra, and more. This teacher training course is comprised of five main areas of focus:

1. Teaching fundamentals

Build upon the knowledge that you acquired in your 200-hour training and develop strong instructional techniques that allow you to teach with insight, precision, and clarity.

2. Pranayama and meditation

Explore classic pranayama, kriyas, types of prana, chakras, relationships of energy and asana, and meditation methods that enable you to tap into deeper aspects of yoga practice.

3. Advanced methodology

Unlock ways to teach difficult poses and transitions, the sequence for anatomy, energy, or philosophy, strategize for prop use and pose improvement, and modify to all levels.

4. Workshops and retreats

Learn to create longer format classes, workshops, and retreats. You will actually plan, coordinate, and implement these during the training. You will finish this course and leave ready to present your program.

5. Business of yoga

Receive guidance on how to be a full-time yoga teacher, create your brand, market yourself, strategize social media and online teaching, newsletters, pricing, and position yourself for success in a competitive market.
