This is a comprehensive yoga teacher training, designed in accordance with the 200-hour requirements for registration with Yoga Alliance. It is Yoga Alliance approved. At the end of the course, you will be a certified yoga instructor, eligible to register with Yoga Alliance. We specialize in classes of smaller groups in order to give the students more personal attention. This is an intensive yoga teacher training with an exceptionally high quality, comprehensive, and transformative experience. The school has seven bright and very clean double rooms facing the beautiful valley and mountains of the Himalayas. The accommodation cost 20000 for 4-week, which is included in the package price. Six of them have a private balcony and a small kitchen with propane cooktop and cooking utensils. One room is without a kitchen or balcony and availability is based on early booking.

Each room has a private bathroom with shower and hot water and is equipped with two sets of bed linens, a duvet, and towels. The school is located 100 meters from the main square. Here, all facilities available such as laundry, fresh fruits, and vegetables, multi-cuisine restaurants, internet, etc.

You may also arrange your own accommodation nearby and Kailash Tribal School can help you find a suitable place. There are plenty of hotels around from 500 INR a night and above. A decent accommodation may cost INR 800 a night upwards.

  • Applicants should have practiced yoga consistently for at least 1 year prior to the course and should be able to demonstrate a general level of health and fitness.

Students are expected to

  • Be punctual for all classes and arranged meetings in relation to the yoga school.
  • Students will not engage in additional classes other than those offered by the school.
  • Avoid the use of intoxicants while taking part in any of the courses.
  • Be respectful and polite toward the teacher.
  • Be respectful, polite, honest and fair in their interactions with fellow students.
  • Follow the yogic lifestyle as outlined in the Yamas and Niyamas.
  • Inform the teacher about any pre-existing or arising health conditions and issues.
  • Be focused on the course, its content, and practices.
  • Contemplate the teachings and engage in discussions with the teacher if any issues or questions arise.

Avoid words or actions that constitute any form of sexual harassment.

Adhere to the basic traditional principles of yoga as written in Yamas and Niyamas.

Follow and adhere to the national laws of India that pertain to the yoga and holistic healing school and teaching activity.

Code of conduct

The school operates under a strict code of conduct that is based primarily on the philosophy of yoga, Ayurveda, and reiki. Respect, camaraderie, tolerance, and mutual understanding have to lie at the basis of all interactions between students and govern all interactions between students and teacher. Please take some time to familiarize yourself with the code of conduct. It will enhance the benefits you gain from any of the classes or courses you take.


Dharamsala is situated in the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. It lies on a spur of the Dhauladhar range in the Pir Panjal region of the outer Himalayas; and commands majestic views of the mighty Dhauladhar ranges above, and the Kangra Valley below. Dhauladhar means white ridge and this breathtaking, snowcapped range rises out of the Kangra Valley to a height of 5,200 meters (17,000 feet).The Kangra Valley is a wide, fertile plain, crisscrossed by low hills.

Dharmshala is a hill station situated 17 km northeast of Kangra Town. This place is covered with oak and conifer trees. The snowcapped mountains embraced this land from three sides. The spread valley in front of the town gives the heavenly look. The snowline is perhaps more easily accessible at Dharamshala compare to other hill resort and it is possible to make a days trek to a snow-point start with the morning early moments.

You are responsible for the health and well being of your body and mind. The school is located 100 meters from the main square. The town has many facilities available including: local markets with fresh fruits and vegetables, multi-cuisine restaurants, internet, etc. Plenty of restaurants are very close in town and meals can cost 50 to 300 INR.

Arrival by plane

A domestic flight from Delhi to Dharmsala airport (also called Gaggal, Kangra airport) will cost around INR 4000 to 9000.

Arrival by bus

An overnight bus from Delhi will cost INR 550 to 1050 to Mclodganj taking 10 to 12 hours.

Arrival by train

The nearest train station is in Pathnkot, which is a 3-hour taxi ride from the school.

Arrival by taxi

A pickup taxi directly from New Delhi airport will cost INR 8000 to 10000 it will take 10 to 12 hours.
