Zensicily is a project promoted by the organic Agriturismo Case Don Ignazio, thanks to the extraordinary desire of a family to lead you into nature for a holiday of yoga, wellness, organic food, culture, and exploration of the territory.

Case Don Ignazio is a beautiful typical Sicilian house of the 19th century, the perfect place to live in direct contact with nature, its sounds, and rhythms that accompany the succession of seasons, in an atmosphere of sharing and deep respect for the beauty around.



The course / hours count as Continuing Education hours for Registered Yoga Teachers (RYT®) only.

Yin yoga is a complementary and synergistic practice to the most dynamic forms of yoga. It is commonly defined as a passive practice in opposition to all the other yoga styles that are considered active (Hatha, Ashtanga Vinyasa, Power, etc.). This definition originates from the specific way of exercising the body without the engagement of the muscles. Whereas in Yin, specific tissues and components of the body are passively stimulated. These tissues typically are the joints, the ligaments, the fascia, and the bones.

The positions are performed on the ground for a long period of time (which at the beginning can go from 2 to 5 minutes) and by applying a certain pressure on specific target areas. Then, we allow gravity to do the work and, by doing so, we will consciously stress- not stretch- the tissues mentioned earlier.

The benefits of Yin yoga practice, both at a physical and mental level, are numerous, subtle, and deep. This training aims to provide a clear understanding of the main principles of Yin Yoga and genuine practical experience. The student will be prepared to share his accomplishments after the course.

The yoga classes will be in the resort in a nice hall that faces the garden. The morning practice is dynamic to raise your energy level and power, whereas, in the evening, you will use a gentle and restorative practice. This alternation will renew the natural rhythm of the body and mind.
