Pre-application requirements

It is important to have a base to make the most out of the training, but everyone is coming to yoga with a different background. The most important thing is your passion and dedication to your own personal practice. You will need a webcam or smartphone with a camera and internet connection. You can also use your iPad or other mobile devices to complete this training.

Certifications

Students who complete their training before 31 December 2021 are eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as Registered Yoga Teachers (RYT®).

How the training works

In this self-paced course, there are approximately 90 hours recorded and two hours live session per week, mostly scheduled in the weekend, which are also recorded and available to you to be able to view them for the next 16 weeks. The course begins once you enroll and you can complete the course in a minimum period of 45 days. It is a mixture of video, audio, reading, writing, and live group participation. You will be getting personal feedback and attention to ensure your success. During some of the live sessions, you will receive feedback and tips to make sure that your alignment is safe.

All the material will be recorded and available to be played whenever you want, and as many times as you like. At the end of the program, you will have to pass the online exam or complete the final project. Additionally, you will be able to test your knowledge through quizzes and receive feedback during live sessions. The course is designed in a way to give you the comfort of doing it at your own pace. You could complete it in 30 days where you would need to spend around four hours a day or extend it up to six months.

Please note that you will have 2 live sessions per a week, mostly during weekends.

Timing of sessions (GMT+5:30)

You can access the recorded classes and practice any time you want. Please contact Kavaalya for the specific timing of each live session.

Course information

Taking the path of yoga means starting a journey guided by your inspiration, your self-improvement, and your search for balance between body and mind, conscious movement, breathing, and dynamism. Nowadays, thanks to technology, this journey can be started without leaving your home, and with the aid of professional yoga teachers, available and ready to help at any time, even if they are on the other side of the world.

In the same way that your modern society has transformed you, inducing stress in your lives, yoga too has been transformed to adapt to these circumstances and remain as a powerful transformative journey. There is nevertheless a remedy for those whose time and attention is absorbed by worries such as work, university, or other occupations. They can still embark on the path of yoga by starting one of the best yoga teacher training offered on the Internet. The benefits of this type of training are evident.

They not only allow you to become experts in the field of yoga but also provide you with a yoga teacher training online certification which is extremely valuable for taking further yoga training opportunities or becoming a yoga instructor. However, these are advantages that most yoga training courses allow you to achieve. Additionally, yoga online teacher training can be followed from the comfort of your home, in the calmness of a park, or coupled with the sound of waves crashing on the shore of the closest beach.

Practitioners who begin a yoga teacher training class online can study at their own pace, which usually means they learn in a more relaxed way and are capable of acquiring and processing the yoga teachings more effectively. There is growth asana-wise, but that is just an infinitesimal part of the path of yoga; one eventually discovers the real purpose of yoga, its history, and its philosophy. Most of the teacher training online courses are divided across several training styles and include diverse techniques to assist students.

To better understand the human body and the benefits that this millennial discipline has on it, the experts who direct online yoga courses go through years of training and formation to master the fields of anatomy and psychology. Yoga teachers who complete online courses become experts on the basic knowledge of bones and muscle structures, but also on the functionality of their cardiovascular, respiratory, and nervous systems: everything is put into practice to stimulate your seven chakras, the energetic centers in your body.

This online yoga teacher training program is for those looking to teach as professionals, for yoga students looking to deepen their practice, or for experienced teachers looking for the certification to improve their job perspectives. This program provides a solid foundation for teaching yoga and in-depth knowledge of how to take your own yoga practice to the next level.

The success that 200-hour course is having is due to the opportunity to access authentic Indian yoga teachers and an exceptional content that combines classical yoga (asanas, meditation, pranayama, Yoga Nidra, philosophy) with classes of the practice of teaching, public speaking, anatomy, and even building personal branding and social networks focused on yoga teachers demands.

This online 200-hour yoga teacher training course is a program designed to provide you with fundamental skills and confidence to teach yoga based on Hatha and Ashtanga Vinyasa lineages led by an incredible team of yoga masters from India. It is a program that provides the knowledge necessary to become a yoga instructor. It is a journey to the depths and origins of yoga. As you immerse yourself in its history, philosophy, techniques, and closely related aspects such as meditation, pranayama, Ayurveda, its transforming effect purifies and awakens the most essential dimensions of your being.

You do not have to practice all the poses since there are so many yoga poses. Not all of them are safe or advantageous for all body types. The four pillars of the course

1. Completely interactive

You are on live video conferences for 16 weeks. You bond together as a group. Dive deeper into the material. Get your questions answered. Help one another. You become part of a community.

2. Teaching to teach

Learn how to lead a group of people and gain their confidence is not easy. It requires a process and knowing some techniques. The course pays special attention to this point so that you are ready to start your career immediately.

3. Value beyond the mat

The main intention is to infuse in you the yoga values as they are understood by Kavaalya in India. The target of the yoga process is to bring balance to the students and prepare them to face life challenges in a centered and aligned way.

4. Be your own boss

As a yoga instructor, you are also an entrepreneur and as such must know how to get the most of your time and make money. You explain, step by step, all the income avenues and the tools and skills needed to make full use of them.

5. Assignments and exams

To receive the certification of accomplishment and be eligible to register as RYT-200 with Yoga Alliance you need to:

  • Complete the entire online course
  • Pass the online final exam or complete a project

You have the option of choosing one of the two options, although they promote the choice of the second option, as they believe that it represents a better preparation for the future. The final project is to organize your own yoga event, which can be a yoga class for your family or friends.

Yoga is about so much more than just physical postures. But if you have an injury or existing health condition, please always seek advice from a health specialist first and inform the school. If your English is not very good, you should be fine as long as you understand and speak a bit. There are always non-native English students and teachers take this into consideration as much as possible to ensure that the material being taught is understood by everyone.
