Mexico Yoga Teacher Training

Terra Yoga Teacher Training provides a solid foundation to teach Hatha yoga, educate on human movement and deepen one’s own personal practice. Terra Yoga teachers are educated in a fusion of anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics with the traditional practice of yoga. You will learn the whys and hows about yoga postures and how to make them functional for daily life activities or other movement practices. This foundation will serve as a powerful base from which to teach and guide your students through a practice that educates, inspires and heals. Terra Yoga training seeks to train and inspire teachers that lead to live yoga from the sacred, through deep experience, knowledge and inquiring, to live and experience the innate connections that everyone has with the other beings and the self healing capacity of the Earth.

Instituto KiekariTerra A.C is an educational retreat center for sustainable and resilient communities. It is located in the middle of the Cloud Forest in the town of Xico, Veracruz. The center is located among mountains and rivers.


KiekariTerra are proud to offer this exceptional Yoga Alliance certified yoga teacher training program. The program encourages a strong creative focus to unlock each student’s individual potential and unique voice.

During the training you will be immerse in a place where you are working with nature conservation projects and permaculture and you will have the opportunity to learn about the principles of permaculture and how you can bring them into practice into daily life and yoga. You will be immerse in a family and community environment.

General objectives

  • To reawaken the ability of interception (to sense from within) and empower the student to recognize his/her own body knowledge and be able to take his/her own decisions about what works and what does not for his/her body.

  • Understand and live the interdependence with nature that surrounds us and inhabit the earth from the sacred.

Some days you will be visiting community and family projects around the region to do Seva Yoga. This projects could include but not limited to harvesting, planting, construction, bee project, herbalism, etc.

Recommended Airports

Arrival by airplane

You can fly into Mexico City International Airport (MEX) and take a bus to Xalapa Bus Central. But it is recommended to fly into General Heriberto Jara International Airport (VER). You can take a bus from the airport to Xalapa Bus Central. Round Transportation from Xalapa Bus Central to Kiekari Terra Institute is included in the price of the teacher training.

Cancellation Policy

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 50% of the total price.
  • The deposit is fully refundable if the booking is cancelled up to 60 days before the arrival date.
  • The rest of the payment should be paid on arrival.
