Casa Cobananda is the Guatemalan home of Coby and Ananda, two of the Kula Collective co-founders. Certification

Students who complete their subsequent training are eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as Registered Yoga Teachers (RYT®).

Prerequisites

This course is designed for anyone interested in deepening their yogic practice and those who are also interested in taking the first step to becoming a certified yoga instructor. There are no physical or educational prerequisites to register in a 200-hour yoga teacher training. Kula Collective does recommend that students have regular practice prior to attending the course. Not interested in becoming a yoga teacher? This course is still an incredible way to deepen your knowledge and take some time away from your day-to-day distractions by diving into an immersive yoga experience.

Journey through the three worlds of the Chakana

The Andean Cross allows a transformative journey through the lower, middle, and upper worlds of this ancient tradition, allowing you to explore the many levels of your being. Beginning with the lower world, you explore your unconscious and physical abilities and limitations, recognizing and breaking through self-created boundaries and limiting beliefs. By releasing what no longer serves you, you create more space in the body and mind through the cultivation of awareness and the understanding of the roots of yoga, anatomy, foundational practices, and selfless service.

In the middle world, you empower discover more of who you are through experiencing elemental awareness and self-inquiry, allowing you to embody the teachings and live to your full potential. From your work in the lower and middle worlds, you experience a sense of freedom in the upper world as you expand, shifting from gross to more subtle realms of consciousness, letting you step into your radiant power.

This teacher training program will be held in a small Mayan village of Tzunuma, near Lake Atitlan in the western highlands of Guatemala. It has become a Mecca for international travelers attracted by its beauty, tranquility, and diverse options for spiritual exploration and therapy.
