Seven Springs is the Tennessee home of Zach and Jessi, two of Kula Collective co-founders. The family spirit is strong here: Jessi’s grandmother and parents have been homesteading the land for almost fifty years. From building to managing to mowing the grass, it takes all four generations to keep it up.
Set on 126 acres of secluded forest, this is the perfect place to disconnect and reconnect. It has come a long way in six years, earning the title of #1 meditation retreat center in Success Magazine (Sep/22).
Gather for practice on the hand-built shala with local cedar posts. Nourish yourself with Olivia’s hearty local vegan and vegetarian cuisine. Fill your cup with crystal-clear spring water. Walk the creek between the springs among old-growth hardwoods. Get out to explore and hike Great Smoky Mountain National Park just a short drive away. Just 25 minutes from the Knoxville airport and within a day’s drive of so many cities, getting away from it all has never been this easy.
As summer sings in the mountains, rivers, and forests, it is a perfect time to allow the fire of the sun to purify and ignite the intentions in your heart, mind, and soul. This 22-day journey provides the space between to explore yourself, letting you emerge feeling supported, inspired, and full of the breath of new beginnings, with a clear direction and aligned action.
Students who complete the training are eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as Registered Yoga Teachers (RYT®).
Kula Collective's 300-hour YTT focuses on honing in on your essence as a teacher; following your greatest excitement towards the cultivation of your unique gifts. Through the expansion of your own sacred consciousness and the full embodiment of your practice, the training supports you to radiate the teachings of yoga in your own powerful and distinct way.
Mornings start by going deep into advanced practice, with expert sequencing drawn from asana, pranayama, meditation, bhakti, and worldwide spiritual, energetic, and movement practices. Your days center around your own self-discovery, healing, and spiritual advancement, through comprehensive discussions on yogic philosophy, ancient wisdom, and mystical teachings; complementary healing practices such as Ayurveda, energetic healing, and shamanic healing and interactive workshops that refine and break down the techniques and artistry of holistic yoga teaching.
You bow to the inner guru who knows what calls you, and give thanks to the wisdom that is yet to be revealed.
Required online tools: For the online portion of the training, you will need a reliable internet connection as well as Zoom and Teachable.
LIVE CALLS: Online pre-course and post-course LIVE 2-hour calls two weeks before/after the training.
PRE-COURSE MATERIAL: 70 hours of self-paced recorded online that will need to be completed prior to your in-person training dates. You will have forever access to this material to refer to after the training when you go into the world and teach!
The online materials can be covered in 9 days. It should be finished before the in-person portion of the training in Tennessee.
The exact timing of the live sessions will be discussed with students.
Every 4th day of the 8-day cycle is a half day, and every 8th day is a full day of Self Sadhana.

The in-person 22-day YTTs are designed to bring the teachings alive through learning in a dynamic and interactive community at the sacred location of Tennessee! This is the time to embody the yoga teacher in you through peer teaching and hands-on assists. In the in-person portion, the training emphasizes philosophy, therapeutics, ceremony, and earth medicine.
You will have an optional Kula Karma day following the training that you will have the opportunity to participate in OR a Karma project after the training to shine your light in your hometown!
At a young age, Jessi studied dance and creative movement. Since her first 200-hour registered yoga teacher training in 2008, Jessi has led retreats and workshops throughout the US, Guatemala, Mexico, Peru, Colombia, and Costa Rica. She completed her 500-hour yoga teacher training hour certification in 2012 and now leads teacher training in these places where she most enjoys sharing.
The online part of the training should be completed before the in-person training in Tennessee. Kula Collective is located in Maryville, Tennessee (EDT, GMT-4), and they will live-stream the classes via Zoom which you can participate in from the comfort of your home.
The in-person portion of the training takes place at Seven Springs, Maryville, Tennessee.
The package includes three daily vegetarian and locally sourced meals.

Please book your flight to arrive at Knoxville International Airport (TYS). The airport is actually located in Alcoa and only about 25 minutes from Seven Springs! If you are flying into this airport, please contact Kula Collective to set up transportation services. You may also look into flying into the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) and take the bus or rent a car to drive to Seven Springs. Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) is about a three hour drive.
Megabus also has services into Knoxville from many East Coast large cities, as well as Atlanta. If you choose to arrive to the Knoxville bus station, please contact Kula Collective to arrange transportation. The bus station is about 40 minutes from your retreat center.
