Akhilesh met Swami Dayananda Saraswati, the scholar of Sanskrit and Vedanta. He had school in Coimbatore, Tamilnadu. Akhilesh completed a three-year course of Vedanta philosophy and started teaching. Along with that, he also completed yoga training at Siyanda Ashram in Kerala and he studied at Vivekananda Kendra Bangalore. Then, he started learning Iyengar yoga at Iyengar Institute in Pune. He then opened his school called Neo Yoga Center in Dharamsala and has been teaching regularly there since 1999.
Swami Shiva Bharma Saraswati
Swami Shiva Brahmananda Saraswati left his home at the age of 19 in quest of spiritual knowledge. He spent three years on the banks of Narmada river doing penance. Following that he joined Arsha Vidya peetham, Rishikesh where he completed the three-year Vedanta course conducted by Dayananda ashram from 2003 to 2006. After the course, pujya Swami Dayananda Saraswati sent him to the tribal belt in Madhya Pradesh to start a free student home. He spent three years managing the student home. After that, he was appointed as the regional coordinator for AIM for Seva Uttarakhand student homes.
Aacharaya started his spiritual life at the age of 12, had studied Sanskrit grammar, Vedic philosophies, Bhagavadgita, Srimad Bhagavatam, Ramayanam, music, yoga as well as the contemporary teachings of other regional saints from various well-known teachers and schools. His Yoga Guru Swami Vijñānananda Sarasvati (The direct disciple of Swami Yogeśvarananda Sarasvati - the founder father of Yoga Niketan Trust) awarded him with a title of “HATHA YOGACHARYA”, the master of Hatha yoga, with the certificate of the tradition.
Yoga is his passion and profession, but more than that it is his lifestyle. He aims to educate, teach, and increase awareness on how to live an active, disease-free life. Through intention, meditation, pranayama, and asana, his goal is to have his students leave each class feeling stronger, refreshed, and empowered. His classes are always challenging physically and mentally. They are delivered in English and Sanskrit with uplifting music, with demonstrations and maximum hands-on assistance.
Yogi Umesh Anand
Yogi Umesh is a professional yoga instructor and fitness therapist and has experience of more than 10 years. He worked with Ananda Yoga studio Moscow (Russia) as a full-time yoga instructor handling group classes and personal classes on Hatha yoga and Ashtanga yoga. He received training in Thai massage and Swedish massage while working with Ananda in the Himalayas and attended therapies workshop at Hotel Ananda in the Himalayas.
