If you have created a foundation of yoga with the 200-hour yoga teacher training already (completed at a Yoga Alliance registered school), this course will help you to build a strong structure of yoga teaching and creating your own style.

This course is designed in such a way that students not only master the advanced postures and breathing techniques but also gain a deeper knowledge of the yoga philosophy and get a boost of confidence in teaching skills. There is no such experience required for a yoga teacher training course, but if you have basic knowledge about yoga, it is good.

They encourage students from all backgrounds that you can learn more and grow more here. After completion of this 300-hour teacher training course, you can teach beginner, intermediate, and advanced students with clarity and confidence.

It creates new opportunities for you to teach anywhere in the world. The course includes Hatha and Raja styles of yoga. Occasionally, they will include Vinyasa and Ashtanga styles of yoga. As the curriculum of yoga teachers training, they provide a handbook of asana, pranayama, mudra, bandha, written by Swami Satyananda Saraswati of the Bihar School of Yoga. This book will be your main reference during training.

You will focus on traditional or Sanatan yoga based on the philosophy of Patanjali yoga sutra (eight limbs of Ashtanga yoga), Hatha pradipika, gheranda samiti. Apart from that, you take sessions for other forms like Vinyasa flow and Ashtanga flow. Generally, you will start your day at 6:30 a.m. with Neti cleansing every morning followed by tea and breathing (pranayama) session at 7:00 a.m. So, it is depending on you when to wake up.

The principal of creating structure and sequence a class

Making a sequence is the most important quality to be a good teacher. They focus on creating that quality in you and make you skillful. They offer you to lead some of the regular classes so that you can gain confidence and apply the principals of sequencing.

Modification and adjustment techniques

Creating and demonstrating modifications with proper knowledge of anatomy and making ease for the new practitioners.

Organizing and preparing for workshops

Creating workshops on advance posture to make students understand the benefits and tips to get into it and demonstrating safety and modifications to boost their confidence.

Principles of demonstration, observation, alignment, and correction

Developing the art of cueing and demonstrating the alignment and the corrections in the postures.

Please note this schedule is changeable on request by the students. The students will get one day off per week (usually on a Sunday) but this can also be changed. During the weekdays, there is free time after breakfast, lunch, and dinner when sometimes they plan some outdoor activities. And in the fourth week, there is enough time to self-practice and prepare for the exam.

You will be served three delicious fresh well thought out vegetarian or vegan meals a day, unlimited herbal teas, and filtered water. Yoga with Chintamani has wonderful farm-fresh food, vegan food. You will have access to purified water at all times. Everyone shares meals together on a fixed menu at fixed times.

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM). The retreat center is 20 kilometers away from Thamel and the airport. Nepal Yoga Academy & Retreat has a pick arrangement from the airport if guests need, and the cost for a taxi is around 20 USD (2000 INR).

Arrival by taxi

If you get a taxi on your own, you can direct him to address Yoga Academy is by Panachamahalaxmi Temple near Telkot on the Nagarkot Road, a few kilometers past Bhaktapur.
