Top Destinations for Yoga Teacher Training Courses in Portugal
Without a doubt, Algarve is the most popular place for a yoga teacher training course in Portugal.
It’s also the most popular holiday destination in the country thanks to its fantastic clean beaches, unpolluted water, and budget-friendly options.
Rich in culture and history, Algarve is truly a fascinating place for every taste. Aside from taking your yoga and meditation sessions to the beach, you can also learn how to surf, or just take long walks and explore the area.
The capital of Portugal, Lisbon (Portuguese: Lisboa) is one of the few Western European cities that faces the ocean. It’s the center of cultural life and is filled with history and contemporary charm.
If you enjoy the city vibes, there’s no better place to take your yoga teacher training than in Lisbon. Between its gorgeous neighborhoods, attractive museums, being close to a lot of splendid places for day trips nearby, you can enjoy a lot of activities in your spare time.
Built along the hills overlooking the Douro River estuary, Porto is a charming port city, with an Old Town awarded the UNESCO World Heritage Site status in 1996.
Mixing both Medieval and modern architecture, the city is extremely hilly, offering incredibly scenic walking opportunities (but do make sure to wear proper walking shoes). Follow the river towards the ocean and arrive for the sunset; you’ll be rewarded with majestic views of our star diving right into the ocean!
No visit to Porto is complete with checking out the Port Wine Cellars. In the same area, you’ll be able to visit museums or stop for a meal.
