Om Shanti Om Yoga School has designed this course to involve you deeply in the spiritual teaching and practice of traditional Hatha and Ashtanga yoga, breathing techniques, awareness, meditation, and practical philosophy to utilize your body and soul in the world of yoga. Attend this course and you will get a yoga teacher's qualification by Yoga Alliance International. You will learn proper adjustment of each posture, how to practice, and teach for beginner level to advance level.
You will stay in ashram based rooms with comfortable bed, study table, hot water bathroom, the view close to nature, walking distance to any shopping, groceries needs, or restaurants. The ashram is kept in a silence place close to nature in the foot of the hills. All rooms are fully ventilated to open air and atmosphere and have free Wi-Fi.
Ashrams usually represent a return to a simpler way of living, which is very different to a hotel. Generally there is a more communal atmosphere and often an expectation that guests will pitch in with whatever needs doing.
The course is inclusive of relevant subjects to yoga path of life such yoga philosophy, yoga anatomy, yoga therapy, teaching methodology, Ayurveda class with nutrition and yogic diet, meditation, pranayama, satsang class, and mantra chanting. Class starts at 06:00 to 19:00. There will be three breaks for food, refreshment, and self-study. Each day, you should attend all six classes, which comprises in eight hours a day without fail.
Attendance is taken seriously in this course. Classes will be held from Monday to Saturday, and Sunday is the rest day. You will have a retreat on Sundays. You will be given one assignment test, one theory test, and finally one practical test in order to prepare you to be qualified as a yoga teacher in all areas.
Yoga physiology is the descriptions of the human body, its layers, and the energy channels running through it used in various yoga systems. Respiratory systems include anatomy and respiratory of physiology system and effect of yoga practices and physiology of pranayama. Skeleton systems show anatomy and biomechanics of joints and safe way of adjustments and modifications of asanas. Cardiovascular systems give you the structure and physiology of heart and blood vessels and blood pressured and effect of yoga practices.
Asanas are yoga postures and the physical movements of yoga practice and, in combination with pranayama or breathing techniques, it constitutes the style of yoga referred to as Hatha yoga. Traditionally, asanas are positions which make you fit and healthy in all the way. In the yoga sutra, Patanjali describes asana as a "firm, comfortable posture", referring specifically to the seated posture, most basic of all the asanas.
Normally, asanas will be held for an average of two or three minutes. Besides being held steadily, they should also be held comfortably. No pain should be experienced while holding the posture or in the hours or days that follow. Hindu Shastras tell you of 84 lakhs asanas. A lakh being equal to 100,000, and this brings the number of yoga postures to 8,400,000. There are three types of asana: meditative, relaxing, and cultural posture.
Ayurvedic medicine is a system of traditional Hindu medicine native to the Indian subcontinent since 5000 years ago. Contemporary practices derived from Ayurvedic traditions are a type of alternative medicine. Ayurveda is a discipline of the upaveda or 'auxiliary knowledge' in Vedic tradition. The origins of Ayurveda are also found in the Atharvaveda, which contains 114 hymns and incantations described as magical cures for disease.
Since then, Ayurveda has stood for the wholesome physical, mental, and spiritual growth of humanity around the world. Today, it is a unique, indispensable branch of medicine, a complete naturalistic system that depends on the diagnosis of your body's humor, vata, pitta, and kapha, to achieve the right balance.
You will learn about the basic of Ayurveda and definition of health, part one and two of the three doshas and prikriti, the prikriti analysis, and the daily routine and seasonal routine in Ayurveda.
The word 'mantra' has two parts; 'man', which is the root of the Sanskrit word for the mind; and 'tra', which is the root of the word 'instrument'. A mantra is, therefore, an instrument of the mind, a powerful sound, or vibration that you can use to enter a deep state of meditation. A combination of certain codified sounds is a mantra.
The correct chanting of mantras under the guidance of the Siddha guru brings about the manifestation of thoughts and desires and even of devas and devis. It is originated from Ved, which was written by Lord Brahma. The teachings of the Vedas consist of various mantric chants or hymns cognized by different seers or rishis from the cosmic mind.
The body gets the effect from mantra chanting in a good way. It removes all the diseases from your body and keeps away your body from other negative energy. Ganesha mantra stays prosperous at your home. By chanting Guru mantra, you can enhance your knowledge. Mritunjaya mantra keeps you fit and healthy. Santhi mantra keeps your mind cool and tension free. Gayatri mantra improves immunity and grows up your learning and concentration skill.
Santhosham Santhi mantra keeps calm your mind and helps to grow up. Yoga mantra helps to reduce anxiety and depression and releases neuroses. Vedika Santi mantra is related to the welfare of humanity and helps in spreading peace all over the world. Surya mantra removes carbon dioxide from the lungs and replaces it with fresh oxygen. Surya namaskar stimulates and balances all the systems of the body, including the endocrine, circulatory, respiratory, and digestive systems.
Despite all its popularity, today, very few of people truly know what meditation is. Some regard that meditation is the mental concentration on something while others consider that they meditate when they imagine something that gives them peace or satisfaction. All these methods are being with one goal to slow down and, eventually, completely stop the incessant activity of your minds.
These exercises are not really meditation. They are substitutes for meditation because it is normally very difficult to stop your mind altogether. In reality, meditation is a state of thoughtless awareness. The real meaning of meditation is transforming your mind. By engaging with a particular meditation practice, you learn the patterns and habits of your mind, and the practice offers a means to cultivate new, more positive ways of being.
With regular work and patience, these nourishing, focused states of mind can deepen into profoundly, peaceful, and energized states of mind. There are four types of meditation in this training: Osho dance meditation, yoga Nidra meditation, Tratak or candle meditation, and chakra meditation.
Bandha is a term for the body locks in Hatha yoga, treated under the heading of mudra. Specific bandhas are Mula bandha or the contraction of the perineum, Uddiyana bandha or the contraction of the abdomen into the rib cage, Jalandhara bandha or tucking the chin close to the chest, and Maha bandha combining all three of the above bandhas.

Seven types of bandha introduced in this retreat are Moola bandha, Uddiyana bandha, Jalandhar bandha, Maha bandha, Nasagra mudra, Gyana mudra, and Hridaya mudra.
Pranayama is a Sanskrit word meaning "extension of the praṇa or breath" or "extension of the life force". The word is composed of two Sanskrit words, 'prana', the life force or noted particularly as the breath, and 'ayāma', to extend or draw out. It is a yogic discipline with origins in ancient India. Pranayama is traditionally viewed as a practice involving a lot more than just breathing for relaxation.
Pranayama is the foundation for your body because it refreshes your breathing system and makes fit your respiratory system. It is a term having a broad range of meanings and connotations. The sage Patanjali, in yoga sutras, defines pranayama as “regulation of incoming and outgoing breath coupled with retention". There are four types of pranayama: nadi shoshana, anulom vilom, bhastrika, and kapalbhati.
The main philosophy of yoga is simple and mind, body, and spirit are all one and cannot be clearly separated. Yet there is a multitude of philosophical ideas developed by looking into the deeper dimensions of the body, mind, and spirit. Yoga is a set of spiritual practices but in itself is not an institutionalized religion per se.
