During this course, you will stay in the school building which is newly-built and clean. Every room has a hot shower and western toilet. The rooms are spacious, clean, with attached bathroom, and a wardrobe. The staff is responsible for 24-hour cleaning. The facility includes twin bedrooms, a table, a chair, and free Wi-Fi.


This 100-hour yoga teacher training is an excellent way to begin your teaching journey, deepen your self-practice, or start learning about this ancient lifestyle. The course is designed to give you the most knowledge possible by the best-qualified teachers. All of them are serious yoga practitioners and passionate about sharing what they know. You will learn about yoga asanas (postures), yoga anatomy, yoga philosophy, meditation, pranayama (breathing), kriya (purifying techniques), and mantra chanting.

You will attend a special class on Ayurveda covering the doshas and the yogic diet. At the beginning and end of the course, there will be a fire ceremony with chanting and music so you can experience Indian culture. Om Yoga Academy offers 12 days of class and one free Sunday. After completion of the course, you will receive a 100-hour yoga teacher certification from Om Yoga Academy. However, this 100-hour certificate is not recognized by the Yoga Alliance Association.

You will also be provided with study material, a school bag, and a school t-shirt. Some yoga mats are available at the school, but you are suggested to bring your own. It is better for everyone to have their own mat. If you wish to continue your yoga teacher training to complete the 200-hour course, you can stay after the 100-hour course and do two more weeks of class. This is only possible according to availability.

This teacher training will be held in Rishikesh, India. Rishikesh is a city in India’s northern state of Uttarakhand, in the Himalayan foothills beside the Ganges River. The river is considered holy and the city is renowned as a center for studying yoga and meditation. Temples and ashrams (centers for spiritual studies) line the eastern bank around Swarg Ashram, a traffic-free, alcohol-free, and vegetarian enclave upstream from Rishikesh town.
