This 200 hours Yoga Teacher Training Course is an intensive 4-week retreat created with the aim to give you a solid foundation in yoga. The course will be led by a diverse team of experienced teachers with over 60 years of combined experience in yoga and meditation. You will learn authentic Hatha Yoga combined with modern styles like Vinyasa, Ashtanga and Yin/Restorative yoga. In addition to the daily yoga classes and lectures, we have included a unique Zen meditation program that will help to increase your mindfulness and enhance the benefits of the yoga manifolds. You will gain deep knowledge of yoga philosophy, anatomy and physiology while you experience life on a tropical island in a loving conscious community. The training will take place at a magical venue surrounded by raw tropical nature. You will also get a chance to experience how it feels to eat a variety of healthy and delicious food every day for a whole month! The course will give you confidence in teaching and a strong self-practice. Upon successful completion of the training, you will be eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT®). Registration with Yoga Alliance, which is recognized globally, and will open many doors for you if you wish to teach internationally.

This 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Course is an intensive 4-weeks retreat created with the aim to give you a solid foundation in yoga.

The course has been carefully designed for people of all ages, different physical abilities and different levels of yoga experience. The pace of the course will allow those new to yoga to follow the teachings while giving more experienced students ample opportunity to deepen their practice and understanding. Whether a beginner, advanced practitioner, teacher or someone looking to find a way out of the daily sufferings/struggles that come with the conditioned mind, this course will give you life-changing perspectives.

Our yoga school and training is registered with Yoga Alliance. This means you will receive a training that meet their standards for minimum hours for techniques & training, teaching methodology, anatomy & physiology, yoga philosophy and practicum. Upon successful completion of the training, you will qualify for RYT200 certification which is recognized globally.

Paula Surya Shivjot
Paula embraces the very qualities that allow us to embody yoga to the fullest. Change is constant - in all levels of life, and Paula supports practice that expands our boundaries, transforms perspectives and creates positive change. Paula is an international Yoga Teacher (RYT700), Yoga Teacher Trainer, Movement Educator (MA, SME) and Dancer, who grew up in Lapland, Finland. She is inspired to share the practises and inner work of self-inquiry that have had profound effects in her own life, in which the body-mind is finally free to ungrip and relax into ease and joy.
Danny Taylor
Co-Founder and teacher at One Yoga, Danny Taylor was born and raised in the Netherlands to English Parents, traveling was part of growing up and he has since been privileged to experience life in many different countries across the world. Due to his universal background, wide range of life experience and being very open minded he is a real people person able to connect deeply with others whatever their background may be. Buddhism, yoga and other natural healing methods including Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, Reiki and Chi Nei Tsang have led Danny to where he is today.
Swami Sachidanand
Swami spiritual journey started at an early age spending much of his childhood in meditation. On the advice of a family Guru, his parents sent him to an Ashram (Traditional Vedic School), to study Sanskrit Language, Yoga, Meditation, Mantra Chanting and Vedic Scriptures along with contemporary education. Later he graduated in Yoga Philosophy (Eastern and Western) from Kurukshetra University in Haryana and continued Post graduation at the Punjab University (Chandigarh). Swami has taught all over the world conducting yoga and philosophy courses and seminars.

Location

Koh Phangan Island and particularly the Srithanu area is Yoga hub for South-East Asia. You will have plenty of opportunities to explore this Paradise Island and meet like minded people from all over the world. The yoga shala is located in the centre of Shrithanu close to the beach and yet still in a peaceful place surrounded by the natural flora of Koh Phangan - the perfect place for Yoga.

How to get there

Recommended Airports

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) in Bangkok. From here there are several options:

Flight to Samui Airport (USM)

Between Bangkok and Koh Samui, there are many daily services run by Bangkok Airways. Flying time is about 50 minutes. Once you arrive at Samui you need to take a ferry from Koh Samui to Koh Phangan, for about 300 THB one way. Once you arrive at Koh Phangan pick up taxis are available from the pier. Please inform the taxi to drive you to Art of Juice (opposite of Nice Sea Resort) in Srithanu. Taxis are approximately 150 THB per person. One Yoga Thailand will be waiting for you at Art of Juice. Please inform them of the time that you will arrive.

Flight to Surat Thani Airport (URT)

From Bangkok, you can also fly first to Surat Thani Airport (URT). Air Asia flies from Bangkok (DMK) to Surat Thani daily, flying time is about 50 minutes. The transfer from Surat Thani Airport (URT) to Donsak ferry port is by coach or taxi and takes about 90 minutes. Tickets can be bought at the airport. At Donsak, you transfer to the Raja ferry to Koh Phangan, which takes three hours. Whilst the overall journey is longer than flying directly to Koh Samui, it can be cheaper to fly via Surat Thani, depending on the time of year. Once you arrive at Koh Phangan pick up taxis are available from the pier. Please inform the taxi to drive you to Art of Juice (opposite of Nice Sea Resort) in Srithanu. Taxis are approximately 150 THB per person. One Yoga Thailand will be waiting for you at Art of Juice. Please inform them of the time that you will arrive.

Arrival by bus

There are many bus services from Bangkok to Koh Phangan. Most of these are sleeper buses. They can be booked from travel agencies in Bangkok or by going to the central bus station (Sia Thai). The journey takes about ten hours to Donsak, the ferry port for boats going to Koh Phangan. From Donsak, the journey takes around three hours to Koh Phangan. Usually, the ferry is included in the price of the bus.

Once you arrive at Koh Phangan pick up taxis are available from the pier. Please inform the taxi to drive you to Art of Juice (opposite of Nice Sea Resort) in Srithanu. Taxis are approximately 150 THB per person. One Yoga Thailand will be waiting for you at Art of Juice. Please inform them of the time that you will arrive.

Arrival by train

Trains leave Bangkok several times daily, the journey time is about 12 hours. Sleeping booths are available for some services. Leaving the train at Surat Thani, the transfer by coach or taxi from Surat Thani station to Donsak pier takes about one hour. From Donsak, the ferry journey takes three hours to Koh Phangan. There are two companies that run luxury coach services from Bangkok to Chumphon, which takes about six hours. At Chumphon, you transfer to a large express boat that stops at Koh Tao before arriving at Koh Phangan. The boat journey from Chumphon to Koh Phangan takes about three hours. Once you arrive at Koh Phangan pick up taxis are available from the pier. Please inform the taxi to drive you to Art of Juice (opposite of Nice Sea Resort) in Srithanu. Taxis are approximately 150 THB per person. One Yoga Thailand will be waiting for you at Art of Juice. Please inform them of the time that you will arrive.

  • The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
