You will be staying at Tiskita Lodge during the training. Rooms are either in single, double or triple occupancy. The cabins were built using precious woods like Mahogany, Purpleheart, and Rosewood. The wood was collected over the years mostly from trees that fell down in Tiskita. All cabins are only a few minutes walk away from the lodge, the rainforest, and the beach.

The cabins are spread out around the lodge and landscaped to ensure privacy. Tiskita’s small number of cabins also helps to ensure privacy. Each cabin is surrounded by trees that attract birds, butterflies, monkeys, and other wildlife, making the cabins’ decks often one of the best spots to relax and watch the wildlife go by.

The facilities include

  • A beautiful and quiet yoga shala immersed in the Costa Rican jungle with a view on the Pacific Ocean.
  • Tiskita has a swimming pool, a small library, and other facilities. When you lounge by the swimming pool, birds, monkeys, sloths, and the resident iguanas are usually around.
  • Healthy food offered by the restaurant.
  • A waterfall and freshwater pools are located nearby the lodge. The trails into Tiskita’s private biological reserve and the organic orchard also start at the lodge.
  • Coffee, tea, hot chocolate milk, tropical fruit juice, and filtered water are available at the lodge throughout the day, free of charge.
  • You will be walking distance to the most famous Pavones beach!
  • The lodge has a small gift shop with apparel, jewelry designed and made in Costa Rica, and crafts made by the Guaymí, the local indigenous population
  • Nature walks, bird watching, horseback riding, surfing, night tours, beach and snorkeling activities.
  • There is no music at the lodge, the only sounds are the nearby ocean and the wildlife.
  • Games area: In between the lodge and the self-service bar is a games area with a mahogany ping-pong table, a pool table, and a chess board.

Tiskita lodge

Is the best-kept secret in Costa Rica, an ecolodge that offers you the opportunity to experience a pristine tropical forest in its 800 acres private biological reserve. Its location is as remote as can be, nestled in the southwest coast of Costa Rica. Located in Pavones, Beach, South Pacific Ocean, Costa Rica.

The kitchen staff will prepare both traditional Costa Rican and western dishes. Vegetarian diets, or other special dietary requirements, are easily accommodated. Peter Aspinall, Tiskita’s owner, collected over 125 types of tropical fruit in the orchard from within Costa Rica, and from around the world.

Some of the fruit is used in the kitchen of the lodge. The organic orchard has many trails to explore. The mix of fruit trees, shrubs, and rainforest attract all kinds of wildlife making it difficult to get to the sweetest fruit first!

The collection has many well-known types of tropical fruit, including mango, starfruit, papaya, passion fruit, pineapple, banana, guava, grapefruit, sweet lemon, lime, and oranges. Less widely known types of tropical fruit are, for example, jackfruit, mangosteen, and South American sapote.
