Spain accredited Yoga Teacher Training

This teacher training will teach you how to offer Vinyasa flow, Yin-yoga & Yin Yang yoga classes. You will learn all this in a deeply nourishing, feminine way, including somatic approach, and techniques and tools, supporting the nervous system in the most skilful way. Rise & Shine Yoga will cover the fundamentals of yoga, meditation, anatomy, holistic life, & psychology. They will add extra themes such as trauma sensitive module, and somatic healing, which we will link to ancient teachings of Chinese Medicine, energetic perspective, in order to offer healing & transformative yoga classes. Maximum number is 10 participants for this training. As Rise & Shine Yoga loves to give a lot of personal attention to the students. Learning assists, adjustments, and personalized feedback on your teachings.

About the course

The approach

This teacher training course approaches yoga from a holistic and energetical perspective, yet you will learn a lot about the physical part as well in a grounded, down-to-earth way. Yoga can be a wonderful tool for healing, embracing all that you are in order to be able to grow beyond, release and renew. Yin and Yang is the symbol of polarities that you encounter everywhere in this dualistic world. Yin is the principle of the feminine, receptive, still, intuitive, and meditative quality, while yang is the principle of the masculine, active, and expressing quality.

In the cosmic order, these two qualities have their eternal flow and dance where they always balance each other out and come back to balance. In your life, you have these qualities as well but sometimes they get out of balance. Especially as most of us live in a western society, where usually the “doing” part is exaggerated and there is little time-space for nurturing the quietude, the receptivity, and the connection to your own source.

Yin yoga

It is a deeply meditative style, rooted in Daoism and traditional Hatha yoga. You'll work mainly with floor poses that you hold for a longer time, creating a deep stretching effect on muscles, ligaments, tendons, and the fascia, at the same time compressing the joints and bones. Through Yin yoga, you'll activate the energy flow in the energy channels (meridians - traditional Chinese medicine), clearing blockages and creating a better flow of qi, life force energy, nurturing your organs and your whole system in general.

This is a beautiful practice to deepen mindful and soulful awareness and it also works on your deeper layers of the physical body (versus the yang practice mainly working with the superficial muscles). In addition to this Yin yoga invites us to go deep into you emotional self as well, and you will learn the nourishing and skilful approach how to meet, transform, and transmute past experiences and emotions that may still be in the bodies. In Yin yoga, you have access to the connective tissues, like joints, bones, ligaments, and tendons, and of course, the fascia that connects all the parts of your body like a net. With this popular Yin teacher training module,(6 days) you will be able to create a Yin class or session, long or short for a group, for an individual session, or for yourself.

You will learn transition poses and intelligent ways of sequencing - taking into consideration pose families, anatomical guidelines, and meridian therapy. You will be enabled to work on a one-on-one with clients with specific needs, complaints, and anatomical constitution. And with the somatic approach you will be able to hold space for people with stress overload, traumas, ptsd in order to help them release tensions and stories that limit them.

Yang Yoga: Vinyasa Flow, Elemental Vinyasa Flow

With the Yang teacher training module (11 days) you will be able to create a soulful, energizing, uplifting flow class based on energetical sequencing, connected to the meridians, and the five elements, and according to an anatomical approach (sequence for hips, shoulders, etc). You will learn solid knowledge about all poses for the active classes, what to engage and what to relax, and key actions to keep a practice safe and empowering.

You will learn to recognize anatomical differences and to adjust poses to people's needs. You will learn about flexibility and strength, and the need for balance in that as well. You will learn how to tailor classes to specific needs, and how to modify when necessary.

You will learn the basic poses both for the Yin and Yang practices and you will be able to blend them together in a beautifully harmonious way to promote balance, healing, and growth on the soulful journey. There will be a lot of emphasis on sequencing, learning to create your own sequences, but also learning 10 sequences together to set you up to start teaching. You will study mantras, mudras, and breathing techniques, as well as specific meditations.

Curriculum

You will have soulful excursions and sunrise and sunset rituals included in the program. As part of the Yang module, they will also offer you a 30-hour online preparation module, video sessions about the fundamentals of Hatha and Vinyasa yoga, and yoga philosophy and anatomy to watch and practice before you arrive.

This Yin-Yang yoga teacher training will enable you to learn the basics of classical yoga, vinyasa flow, and Yin yoga. Dive deep into philosophy, the newest anatomy knowledge(a lot of emphasis on fascia), asanas, meditation fundamentals, and teaching these.

However, this will not be the only content as you will study the Chinese five elements theory and learn about the concept of Yin and Yang and how to create a balanced life that is connected to all elements in balance within yourself. You will learn to balance the elements and also your organs, and emotions through Yin and yang practices, five elements of gentle Vinyasa flow, and also deeply healing soulful five elements Yin yoga practices. You will learn to sequence and teach Yang, Yin, and Yin-Yang practices, all in one training.

Understanding that yoga is for everyone and a good, skillful yoga teacher should be able to tailor classes to each and everyone's individual needs. You will learn modifications and adjustments to support the physical body, but also tools of Buddhist psychology, spiritual and holistic psychology to create an emotional balance and spiritual growth within yourself and facilitate this in your students.

Learn to hold space and skillfully navigate your students towards a more centered, relaxed, conscious, and energized state of being. Learn to recognize the symptoms of imbalance of each element and learn to balance them out with Yin, Yang, and Yin-Yang practices, mudras, mantras, and meditation. You need to participate in all sessions in the training and complete written coursework and a teaching video after the course is sent in.

1. What is the Yin energy about?

It is nourishing, stabilizing, calming, allowing, sensing, and feeling quality within yourself, the ability to drop down into the presence that contains it all or restores it all. Just be.

2. What is the Yang energy about?

It is your ability to rise, focus, be strong, and achieve some things in life. Engagement, action, achievements, and dedication.

3. What are the Chinese five elements about?

  • Water: Vitality, courage, confidence, ability to flow with life, trust the changes, and intuition
  • Wood: Creativity, balance, growth focus, manifestation, vision, and holding it all together
  • Earth: Stability, ability to feel at home, accepted, nourished, loved, and supported. Your needs and your connection to your physical body. Topics such as eating and rest, rhythms, rituals, and routines.
  • Fire: Connection to your spirit, your light, your enthusiasm, the joy of life, and the ability to share and connect, communicate and express.
  • Metal: Your ability to look at life from a higher perspective, attachments and detachment, letting go and highest purpose, ambitions, and inner leadership, learning, and connection to God, a higher spirit. Values in life. Sacredness, gratitude.

In this training, you will explore all these elements and learn to work with them in your yoga practices, teachings, and classes.

4. Tantric and mindful Buddhist approach

This course is a deeply transformative healing journey as only by healing and loving yourself first you can offer these qualities to others. By going through the experience instead of just talking about the theories of it. There will be a lot of focus on your personal experience and opening up the senses, listening, and landing in your true nature.

Yin yoga has a deeply healing effect. And even though every person is different, every story is different, and a healing process requires not only the realization of the patterns and underlying emotional memories and tensions behind every disease but also new conscious choices about your life, you can acknowledge that with appropriate sequences you can rebalance major imbalances in the body with regular Yin practice.

The body imbalances such as allergies, digestive, hormonal problems, back problems, mental problems, blood pressure problems, anxiety symptoms, emotional blockages, and lack of energy, and the emotional disorders such as lack of determination, trust, and confidence, anger problems, depression, fears can all be nurtured by appropriate Yin practice with great results.

Eventually, it can transform your life into a more loving, more still, more attentive and caring, enjoyable journey, than the fast-paced western pattern. Adding the Yang to the Yin, you will be able to get into a soulful flow that moves so much fresh and balanced energy in your body that it can release much easier tensions, and you can step onto a higher, brighter state of awareness yourself.

  • Learning to embody the Yin quality in your life, opening up to surrendering, receptivity, compassion, stillness, self-love, and acceptance
  • Balancing the Yang quality in your life, acting and moving in a soulful way, from your core, allowing your yoga to connect you to your essence
  • Learning one's own unique anatomical structure and principles for approaching each and every skeletal constitution in a unique way (learning adjustments, variations for each body type, and each pose)
  • Modifications that can help with a therapeutic approach for problems such as the back, spine problems, hip, pelvic, shoulder sensitivities, all kinds of joint, muscle, and connective tissue complaints
  • Use props for each pose and each problem
  • Philosophy of Yin-Yang yoga such as mindfulness, breath awareness, and loving-kindness
  • Learning to listen inwards, getting to know one's patterns, belief systems, what creates your perspective of your life, and how can one shift them in a soulful way
  • Meditation techniques, mantras, breathing practices to calm the mind to reveal one's deeper truths and rebalance yourself
  • Learning how to create sequences for a Yin, Yin-Yang, or Yang practice, according to one's intention, for individual use or group classes
  • Learning when you need a Yin practice or a rather a Yang, or Yin-Yang. Connecting your practice to the season, to your own qualities, strengths, weak points

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flights to arrive at Ibiza Airport (IBZ). Rise & Shine Yoga can help you to organize your transfers, either by taxi or sharing with other participants. From the airport, you may also take a taxi to the resort.

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 30.25% of the total price.
  • The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
