The Cottage is a smaller version of the villa. It has three bedrooms, two rooms with double beds and one room with two singles, its own living area, kitchen, and covered deck. There are two bathrooms (not ensuite).

Pool House

We finished a complete renovation of the Pool House last January. It now sleeps up to 12 people. There are 4 bedrooms, with 3 ensuite bathrooms, a separate bathroom, kitchen, lounge, and deck. Each bedroom can be accessed via the main lounge or via private entrance, making it ideal for both families and groups. Please contact Sadhana Yoga School for more information regarding the shared double room Pool House.

Family Ocean View

Each single Ocean View bure (wood/straw hut) has a bedroom with a double bed and an extra single bed, with a private bathroom and covered deck. There is a bar, fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, and overhead fan in each bure. All but one has air conditioning. Sometimes a private room can be available; however, this is a limited option, please contact Sadhana Yoga School for details on availability.

The yoga of spiritual practice

Sadhana yoga means yoga as a spiritual practice. We offer two variations of asana practice that are a blend of various traditions. The Vinyasa flow practice is derived mainly from Ashtanga yoga and is a fast-paced flow. The second is a Hatha practice derived from Sivananda tradition, which is more meditative with longer held poses.

Both sequences together provide you with a great foundation to build any type of yoga class upon. After graduation, you will receive a 200-hour yoga teacher certificate, will be able to register with Yoga Alliance, and teach anywhere in the world.

Course overview

The course will cover chanting, meditation, pranayama, and asana, in addition to yogic philosophy, physical and energetic anatomy, ethics, and the business of yoga. Cleansing practices of kriyas will be incorporated throughout the program, including fasting and silence.

This 200-hour Yoga Alliance certified teacher training program will give you much more than a certificate. It will be a personally focused journey that you share with others. We are all on our own path, but that path leads us to the same place. In this way we can support each other through the process.

The afternoon will be composed of a light lunch, lectures, and teaching workshops. We share family style vegetarian dinner and end the day with satsang, our community gathering.

Theres a real joy in doing yoga in the warmth; never any need for socks even in the morning, constantly warm muscles to power you through the sun salutations, and only occasionally a need for a covering in the longest of savasanas

Things to do (optional)

Theres time to do nothing at all, just have a lazy vacation. Hang out at the pool, write your novel in the lounge, and walk into town for dinner at the yacht club. Feel free to play tennis and golf at local resorts. Take a holiday from life!

Having said that, if you prefer some action on your vacation, there are plenty of things to do, for example: diving, snorkeling, hiking, fishing, kayaking, swimming, boat rides, visiting the waterfalls, etc.

In between times, you must find time for a spa massage and enjoy the deep relaxation it brings. We dont want you to need a holiday after your holiday, but youll never get bored.

We can book you with Rock n Downunder in Savusavu Bay, with Koro Sun Dive or with the Jean Michel Cousteau, divers who go to the internationally known dive site of Namena Island.

The snorkeling in Savusavu Bay is excellent! Theres a small reef directly outside the resort; theres a funny old shipwreck 400 m away and 5 km down the road, theres the outstanding site of Split Rock. We can also take you out on our boat to a couple of sites further away near the outer reef. Bring a snorkel and mask or hire one of ours.

Spa and massage

When you just want to take it easy, you can enjoy a spa massage. Choose from a traditional Fijian bobo, which stimulates circulation and releases tension; a sports massage that focuses on the realigning deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue, a hot stone rapture massage that uses smooth heated stones, or a coconut scrub; a full body massage with coconut oil, followed by an exfoliating back scrub with cream and dried coconut flesh, washed off with warm wet towels.

Waterfalls hiking

If you enjoy hiking, there are a couple of tracks behind the resort, which go up into the jungle, or we can arrange a trip with Naveria Heights Adventure Tours to go and swim at Vuandomo waterfall, trek to Thorolou hamlet or walk over the ridge behind Natewa Bay. We can arrange for you to go and use the 9-hole golf course nearby, but watch out for the frogs on the greens!

Water sports

We have 3 kayaks, a double and two singles, which you can hire, and a boat, which you can use for fishing or snorkeling. For serious fishermen, there are deep-sea fishing charters available in Savusavu Harbor. We can arrange excursions to Salt Lake for kayaking and swimming, and to Natewa Bay for dolphin spotting and snorkeling.
