This intensive 200-hour yoga teacher training is perfect for anyone who wants to deepen their knowledge in the vast concept of what yoga really is and to bring that into practice. You will focus on the balance of Yin and Yang, which is the basis of all Hatha yoga practice. Students will learn to structure a well-balanced Hatha yoga class. They will explore the understanding of the more intensive yang practices plus the more grounding yin practices.
Villa Seascape is located in Carrapateira, Western Algarve in Portugal. It is set in a calm location yet very close to all amenities. The villa has plenty of space, comfort and a large swimming pool. And not to forget a terrace with ocean views!
Easy access to nearest beach, a short walk away is Carrapateira beach which is famous for its excellent surfing. You will be surrounded by natural park, nature is all around! Rooms are big and spacious, with loads of natural light. Each room contains two beds, single and/or double. If you like a double bed, book early and make a request.
Villa Seascape has three bathrooms available and one separate toilet. Furniture is modern yet comfortable for your stay. Wi-Fi is also available throughout the villa but Sammasati Retreat recommends limiting your internet use during the 200 hour yoga teacher training course.
Includes asanas, pranayamas, kriyas, chanting, mantra, meditation, and other traditional yoga techniques. Trainee teachers are required to do their own daily practice incorporating asanas, pranayama, and meditation.
Includes principles of demonstration, observation, assisting / correcting, instruction, teaching styles, qualities of a teacher, the student’s process of learning, and business aspects of teaching yoga.
Includes both human physical anatomy and physiology (bodily systems, organs, etc.) and energy anatomy and physiology (chakras, nadis, etc.). Includes both the study of the subject and application of its principles to yoga practice (benefits, contraindications, healthy movement patterns, etc.).
Includes the study of yoga philosophies, yoga lifestyle and ethics for yoga teachers.
Includes practice teaching, receiving feedback, observing others teaching, and hearing / giving feedback, as well as assisting students while someone else is teaching.
In this yoga training program practice of asanas, pranayama, kriyas, meditation, and vegetarian diet body will detoxify and heal. Sometimes participants may experience positive and negative moods, this is the part of healing and Sammasati Retreat suggests the participants not to repress or resist the process, yet also be mindful not to disturb other participants, teachers, or management. Just be focused on the present moment and allow the negative field of energy to pass from the mind. Identification with the negative energy and sharing it with others can hinder the healing process.
This training will take place in Algarve, Portugal. The stunning south west coast of Portugal is the ideal place to find the peace and calm required to undergo the transformation of a 200 hour yoga teacher training. With over 300 days of sunshine per year, the climate is ideal for meditation in nature and yoga practice by the pool. Villa Seascape has ocean view, just a short walk away from the beach, a large swimming pool, and all the comforts for a pleasant stay. The villa is located in the village of Carrapateira and there are plenty of unique shops and restaurants around as well as beautiful scenery.

The discipline of yoga suggests a pure (ethical) vegetarian diet, which facilitates the development of sattva. Sattva is a quality of love, awareness, connection, and peace with all sentient beings. A sattvic diet avoids any foods that involve killing or harming of animals, a typical diet would include organic grown vegetables, fruits, grains, tofu, nuts, and herbal teas.
