You will become familiar with the anatomy of the body and how it works in yoga. At its heart, this program will uncover why people do yoga. Underpinning it all will be the study of ancient yoga philosophy to enable both teacher and their students to live more soulfully.

The teacher skills and business of yoga sections look at the approaches of teachers on how to teach and run their businesses ethically. Santosha Yoga Retreats hopes you decide to take this enjoyable yoga journey with them.
The evening session will be made up of a one-hour lecture on any of the below modules and one-hour yoga practice (usually Yin yoga or Restorative yoga):
Sophie is the lead trainer of Vinyasa Yoga. She has 600 hours of training in Ireland, the UK, and Thailand and has also trained with Carson Calhoun, Patrick Beach, and Kino McGregor. She discovered yoga in 2010 when she started practicing Hot yoga in Dublin while working full time for the Department of Health. After years of practice and researching the market Sophie founded Hot Yoga Dundrum in 2012 in Ireland. Sophie decided to leave her job in 2017 to concentrate fully on the business.
Dr Alison Clancy PhD, MSc, RNT, BNS, RGN, HDNS, Pgrad (teaching and learning) is currently an assistant professor at UCD. She has trained in a number of different yoga linages including Ashtanga, Vinyasa, and Forrest yoga. She first came to yoga for the physical benefits however as her body became healthier, she soon discovered that her yoga mat was a place to find a sense of contentment, self- awareness, and the mind-body connection. She strongly believes that yoga is not a “one size fits all” practice and that every person is on a different path.
Lucy teaches the yoga philosophy module on all of the yoga teacher training courses and has a wealth of knowledge to share. Having started practicing yoga as a (very unhappy) teen in the Highlands of Scotland, Lucy trained with the YTTC (Yoga Therapy and Training Centre) in County Down in 2000-2002. She has done extensive further training, including with Donna Fahri, Christophe Mouze, and Julie Gudmestad, and is currently affiliated to YTI (Yoga Therapy Ireland).
Esther Moser is a senior Kundalini, Hormone, and Trauma Sensitive yoga teacher with more than 20 years of teaching experience under her belt. She is a qualifies obstetric nurse and added Biodynamic Psychotherapy and Massage, an NLP Master Practitioner certification, reflexology, and hypnobirthing into the mix. In 2007 she discovered EFT Tapping, which has become one of the main techniques beside Kundalini yoga she uses in her private coaching practice.
