You will be staying at the luxurious Sattva Retreat Centre with an attached bathroom, in-room air conditioner, and views that include the river, pool, and mountains. The Sattva Spa and Wellness Retreat offers a variety of accommodations, an ayurvedic spa, organic farm-to-table cuisine, and unique open air yoga halls incorporating the natural setting.

Situated at the edge of the Raja Ji National Forest, the property includes a sustainable farm, refreshing natural spring-fed, swimming pool, private meditation areas, and a bubbling stream running through the property, along with the nearby hiking trails and river rafting.

Every Sattva yoga class is structured as an energetic and physical journey. Sattva yoga includes many styles of yoga found in the west. Each trainee will be guided through thorough study, technique, and use of meditation, pranayama, asanas, Vinyasa, Kriya, partner work, freedom movement, western and eastern anatomy, chakras, koshas and gunas, mantras, music, yogic philosophy, intuitive journaling, ancient scripture, and structuring a journey.

The power of taking the journey to India for this experience is tremendous. The journey inspires, heals, invigorates, and frees. The journey is deeply transforming and deeply joyous. All is supported in the community to rise fully.


As a 200-hour yoga teacher training student, you will learn:

Typical daily schedule

  • 06:00 Meditation

You will have some afternoon free time and Sunday days off. On Sunday mornings, the schedule above is followed until 10:30 a.m. and the rest of the day may include either free or optional group excursions and adventure.

Anand Mehrotra is a visionary master teacher, thought leader, and conscious entrepreneur. The training will take place at the Sattva Retreat Centre, located 20 minutes outside of Rishikesh, India. Sattva Retreat is built on ceremonial grounds and your guides can lead you to sacred sites and temples, ceremonies, and caves that have been inhabited and infused with wisdom by yogis. While many visit such places as a tourist, your guides can lead you through the experience of these sacred sites as a mystic on a sacred journey.

During your free time in Rishikesh, you can go shop at the market and find an array of fine jewelry, gem stones, malas, statuary, spices, kurtas, shawls, and everything you can imagine Indian.
